  1. Great win. League 2 this season is average at best, makes you realize what Notts could have achieved if AH had been here earlier. Next season.....
  2. Plymouth is a tough place to go, even tougher on a Tuesday night. Notts are playing well so they will go there with confidence. Plymouth are a decent side but Notts shouldn't fear them. Hartlepool went there and won. I think it will be a lot tighter than expected. 2-1 to the home side I reckon.
  3. Mixed feelings. A point is better than nothing but Notts should have picked up all 3. At least it keeps the run going which is important heading down to Plymouth tomorrow night.
  4. I can't see any other result other than a home victory. 3-2 to Notts.
  5. Great result. The only concern is the defence. Having to score at least 2 every game is asking a lot. Mind you it's never boring.....
  6. Eden Hazard kicked a ball boy and got 3 games. Kelly had been harshly treated. One rule for the big boys....
  7. Last night was Orient's first win in 2017 and what a win it was. They seem to have adopted a more physical approach which is what they needed as they were a soft touch up to now. Their main threat is Gavin Massey. 3 in 2 games. Michael Collins will make his presence known in midfield. In all honesty, I expect Orient to try and boot Notts off the pitch, it won't be pretty I reckon. We need to start picking up points on the road. I'd take a draw if it were offered right now.
  8. That was the equivalent of a husband arriving home late on Valentines, but saving the day with a dozen red roses and a box of Belgian chocolates. Massive point given the circumstances.
  9. Exeter were thumped 3-0 in their local derby at Plymouth which was a surprise as they hadn't been beaten since November. Their away form is excellent so coming to ML will hold no fears for them. They won 4-1 at ML back in March. Notts did win 2-0 at Exeter in September which is one of the highlights of the season so far. I can't call it so I'll sit on the fence and go for a 1-1 draw.
  10. Notts will win. I'm not basing that on anything solid, just a gut feeling. Should be a bumper crowd. 2-1. Ameobi with both goals.
  11. Very important win for a number of reasons. Still in relegation trouble of course so plenty of work to do. Need to back this win up next week.
  12. You have to win sometime and Crawley at home is one of those sometimes. 2-1 to the Pies. I don't even want to contemplate defeat...
  13. Grimsby are doing quite well for themselves. One of the few highlights of this season was Notts coming from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 in September. They have Omar Bogle who must rubbing his hands in glee at the thought of facing this defence again. They did suffer a bad 3-0 defeat at home to Exeter last Saturday but that seems to be just a blip. I can't see Notts getting anything from this game. 3-1 to Grimsby.
  14. Hard to see anything but an away victory which is depressing to be honest. I'll go with 3-1 to the Stags. Do Stags fans have to pay extra for parking given most arrive on tractors? I won't even mention the ones who arrive on horseback.....
  15. Could have been 6 or 7 if Morecambe had kept 11 men on the pitch. Drew the second half against 10 men. Woeful doesn't begin to describe it. This setup deserves the most defeats record. Their futility is amazing.
  16. Morecambe is a difficult place to go. Even worse when you have no confidence and a new inexperienced manager. 3-1 defeat for me. Hopefully better days ahead.
  17. I can't see Notts winning this on current form. A point would be a fabulous result. It's a horrible fixture to be facing when you are trying to break a losing streak.
  18. I was keeping an eye on SSN yesterday. Delighted when Notts went 1 up. Turned my back and missed the Crewe goal. Actually thought Sky had made a mistake!
  19. Crewe have surprised me. Decent side or a reflection of how ordinary L2 is? Answers on a postcard.
  20. I don't think so. I don't know what the format is. I'd imagine it's 2 to go through?
  21. Agreed. Avoid injuries. That is all.
  22. Great result. Yes Exeter are poor, but Notts did what they had to do. This is not a great league, you don't have to be excellent to get promotion, consistently good will suffice, Notts are ticking that box right now.
  23. I hear ya, but to be fair, it isn't a great league this year. Notts are as good as anyone...on paper at least.......I think JS will turn potential into points. Notts won't be far away at the end of the season IMO.
  24. Exeter on a Tuesday night. Not ideal by any means. Exeter are 20th. They have yet to draw a game this season. 3 wins and 6 defeats. Exeter have lost all 4 of their league games at home. They won 2-0 at Stevenage on Saturday. Great result for them. Our last 2 trips to Exeter resulted in 1-1 draws. We haven't won there since 1998. It's a good time to be playing Exeter IMO. They haven't found their feet yet. Notts have started to show what they can do. I don't think we'll be leaving Exeter empty handed. I'll go for a 1-1 draw.
  25. Great win over a decent side. Things are definitely looking up.
