  1. It's a steady decline to be honest. The basics are not even being executed now. Sloppy in possession. Switching off at key moments. Making catastrophic errors that lead to goals. The team needs a collective kick up the arse. The complacency is just not good enough.
  2. We got what we deserved last night. Halifax were unlucky not to be level before they actually did from what was an awful piece of defending. This team is not getting the basics right and we are being punished. It's the same excuses rolled out after the ever increasing number of below par performances. The team are not correcting their mistakes. Have they lost confidence in NA? I think that may well be the case. I hate to say it but this game has defeat written all over it. 2-1 to Chesterfield after another poor performance is my prediction and we'll have a managerial vacancy before Monday. I want NA to succeed because we need stability but he's testing the loyalty of his most ardent supporters.
  3. 7 games played. 3 wins. 1 draw. 3 defeats. Playing catch up already. Notts never do it the easy way.
  4. Talk about a banana skin fixture for Notts. Just like Dover (lost) and Aldershot (lost), it's a trend that needs to end. Halifax haven't scored in their last 3 games, including a 2-0 defeat at South Shields in the FA Cup. If this was a normal season, no interruptions, I think Notts would win this comfortably, but it isn't s normal season and the stop start nature isn't helping Notts. I'll go for 1-0 to Notts. This is a chance to gain ground on Torquay who aren't playing tomorrow.
  5. You'd expect a response to Saturday's farcical performance. They responded well after the 1-0 defeat at Dover so you'd hope they will do the same again. Stockport had a fantastic win at Rochdale in the cup but they had lost to Weymouth at home and drawn with Solihull before that. Stockport are arguably a top 5 side in this division so it will be one of the tougher games. I don't think we can afford to lose this one, I know it's only November but we'll be playing catch up again this season if we do lose. I think we'll get a strong response so 2-1 to Notts.
  6. It's a miserable day here. Dark and wet. This result fits the day perfectly. Hard to understand how Notts haven't scored again against a team that Notts should be beating. It's Dover part 2. There are extenuating circumstances so we'll take it on the chin and move on.
  7. I thought this game was off. It's hard to know how it will go. Avoiding defeat would be enough given the circumstances.
  8. I think this will be postponed because of COVID. Call me Mystic Meg ????
  9. You'd hope COVID hasn't or won't effect the team's preparation for this game. Kings Lynn haven't had the best of starts. 1 win in 5 games. 6 goals for, 14 against. They are a hard working side but they are very weak at the back. They give up a pile of chances and Notts have the forwards to exploit that. We are leaking goals which is a worry so I'll go for 3-2 to Notts.
  10. 3-2 down at home to Maidenhead. The build up was severely disrupted but that team should be good enough to get at least a draw. Still time.....
  11. Jimmy Knowles opens the scoring. Maidenhead just levelled it. Didn't expect that. Anything less than a win would be disappointing.
  12. Maidenhead will do well to stay up. They lost their first 3 games before beating Wrexham 1-0 last Monday. They have scored 3 goals and conceded 10. I can't see them causing Notts any problems. 4-0 to Notts.
  13. Fantastic win. Overcame the conditions and a decent side tonight. Clean sheet as well.
  14. Thomas is a big loss. Doesn't seem to be much of a cutting edge. Notts away are a world away from Notts at home.
  15. No Roberts. That's a big blow.
  16. This is a real test for Notts. Sutton are unbeaten so their confidence will be high. They have scored 6 and conceded 1 in their first 3 games, including a 3-0 win over the worst team in the league, Maidenhead, a decent win at Aldershot and a good win at Weymouth. I expect all 3 of those sides to be battling relegation so it's hard to know how good Sutton are. We drew 1-1 home and away against them last season. The big question is how will NA approach the game. I hope it's not a repeat of Dover because Sutton are better than Dover and they will punish us. If Notts take the game to Sutton, I think we'll get at least a point. I'll go for 2-1 to Notts.
  17. Happy with the response to Barnet's 2nd. Oh there's a 4th goal. Doyle seals the deal. Job done. We do need to keep it tighter at the back.
  18. Notts making us sweat! 3-2 now. Notts need to put their foot back on the pedal. Close the game out.
  19. Barnet are a poor side. Notts putting in a professional performance, dispatching them with ease. 6 or 7 would be nice!
  20. Barnet were destroyed 5-1 at home by Eastleigh. They beat Dagenham 2-1 away, but Dagenham will be fighting relegation I reckon. Notts are better than Eastleigh IMO so I'd expect Notts to win. 3-1 to the Pies.
  21. I'm happy. Good performance and 3 points in the bag. Onto Saturday we go.
  22. That Daniel Mooney looks like a decent player. One to keep an eye on.
  23. The start we all wanted. Notts need to push on and get a second. Don't give them any encouragement or way back into the game. That's more like it. 2 goals for Wootton. This has the makings of a very good night indeed.
  24. Here's a summary: Promoted to the Football League: Barrow & Harrogate Relegated to the National League: Macclesfield (Looks like they are going to be wound up but won't be replaced) Promoted to the National League: King's Lynn, Altrincham, Weymouth and Wealdstone Relegated from the National League: Ebbsfleet, Chorley, AFC Fylde The reason 4 were promoted and 3 were relegated is down to Bury's expulsion from the League. However it will be an odd number of teams again as Macclesfield will be thrown out.
  25. One thing we can be sure of, NA won't be able to use the grass/surface as an excuse! Our visitors are up and running after a 0-0 draw at home to Weymouth. The conditions were awful so I don't think much was learned about our opponents. They won the NL North Playoff beating Chester, York and Boston. They averaged almost 2 goals a game, but conceded 40 in 33 games. This is a game Notts should be winning if we want to go up. NA needs to take the game to them and not be as cautious as Saturday. This game is made for Enzio. Unleash him from the start. I know he's hit and miss but he's an incredible talent at this level.
