New shirt
I like the shirt, but I’m someone who prefers the classic home colours. Even so, the green does look sharp on the players, and I reckon it’ll go down well with fans. The club’s done a good job bringing out something with a bit more flair. It’s nice to see them try something a little different rather than just sticking with plain designs.

Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham Tommy B
Welcome to PoN, it's good to be welcoming another new member. It's really good to see so many new faces, and I wanted to take a moment to say hello.

YoopEyes welcome to PON
Welcome back @YoopEyes, PoN is well worth being around and joining in with. I hope you continue to enjoy the site because more fans sharing their thoughts is all that's needed. I can't fault the effort of the team or Chris who does a great job.

Didzy joins Barnsley
All the best to David McGoldrick at Barnsley. He’s got the ability to make a difference there. That said, chasing glory doesn’t always lead to the ideal ending. I do hope it works out for him, though.

Team Building: What Now?
Archie Mair is a free agent still: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archie_Mair It does make you think, if the club thought they were good enough to bring in on loan, maybe they’d now look at them again as free signings. It would make sense if they still see something in them. Luca Ashby-Hammond did well after his time with us. Out of the options, I reckon he’s the one with the stronger experience at this point.

The Notts Technical Board.
I've seen many changes in football over the years, so I believe that, in theory, having a mix of football minds trying to help could be a good thing. It could make a difference, as long as the head coach still feels he can trust his instincts and make his own decisions.

Wishing Fan of Big Tone a happy birthday!
73 years young? Happy Birthday to you @Fan of Big Tone.

Where are they now : Jon Stead
Best wishes to Jon Stead on his move to Bristol Rovers. He should do well in his coaching role, and it’s a great step forward in his career.

Pavis, KOP or Family Stand: Where do you sit when attending games?
I have always been a Main Stander, and my season ticket has been in the Derek Pavis Stand for over 40 years. When I was younger, I didn't come as often because of work, but I enjoyed the 80s and decided that I wouldn’t miss home games.

Former #Notts player, Ian Baraclough, in hospital
This is awful news. Ian Baraclough has done so much for our club, and I wish him a speedy recovery. I really hope it’s not as serious as it seems.
-
Tom Iorpenda joins on a season long loan
I'm pleased with his arrival and hope he is ready to compete for his place in the team. As the season unfolds at Notts, I hope he enjoys his time here. He could become part of a select group of talented players who have been given more opportunities, like Ryan Yates and Jack Grealish.

pon and the new site
I have always found PON easy to navigate and simple to use. The upgrade changes are a nice improvement. The theme looks much cleaner and less cluttered. It wasn't bad before, but now it feels more streamlined and visually appealing.

George Foreman RIP.
Rumble in the Jungle is still one of the most famous fights of all time. His power was frightening, but Ali had the perfect plan. Rest in Peace, Big George Foreman.

Announcement: Community Updates and Forum Changes - February 27
Leave politics to social media or the right forums for that. It can be a toxic subject, which benefits nobody when they can't agree to disagree. The way it is currently is only intended to distract and cause inner fights. The best decision is to ban it.

Notts Announce the Notts County Supporters Committee.
All fans should be able to get along with each other and put aside their differences for Notts. It sounds like the club is taking a more formal approach to past attempts. It's important that the club comes first and any hidden agendas are cast aside. This will attract people who want to feel special or even powerful, but the principle sounds good. The club needs to avoid those bad types and encourage people who are passionate. I am sorry if this comes across negatively. All the supporter groups do nothing for most fans and don't have the appeal to young people.

Swansea Sniffing Around Richard Montague... again..?
It's disappointing but we have to get used to this. Staff will see Notts as a stepping stone and I can't blame him for moving. I am just disheartened he decided to rejoin Luke Williams.

Match Discussion: Game 32 - The Valiants (A)
Port Vale will be a good indication, regardless of the outcome, of how this Notts squad will react. I am, as always, hoping for a win.

RIP Mick Walker
Deeply saddened when I learnt about Mick Walker's death. Notts paid a befitting tribute to him at half time. It's such a sad end to one of the nicest people you could have ever wished to meet. Rest in peace, Mick.

Partick Thistle finances
I’m always surprised by how little attention financial issues in football get until it’s too late. Partick Thistle’s problems highlight how precarious things can be, even for well-supported clubs.
-
Match Discussion: Game 11 - The Spireites (A)
Having low expectations might be a good thing. I think some of our fans will be hoping for a draw but expecting a defeat. Notts will need to show their quality in a game like this. I do think it will be quite scrappy and slow at times. I hope we can do well, but all I ask for is a good performance.

Has It All Gone Pear Shaped At Man City?
All this hassle doesn’t look good for English football. You can’t have teams being charged with breaking rules but still allow them to get away with it. It creates a mockery. What is the worst Man City will face? A fine? A transfer embargo?
