  1. @Stuart McNeil, welcome to PON! I hope to see you join in.
  2. As a reporter, Ollie must have captured countless moments throughout his time at Notts County. While it's sad to see him go, it's great to see that he's been able to leave behind a beautiful gallery of pictures as a reminder of his time with the team. These pictures will undoubtedly be cherished by Notts County fans for years to come, and it's a fitting tribute to Ollie's talent and hard work. I'll be sure to take a look at the gallery myself, and I'm sure many others will too. Good luck to Ollie in all his future endeavours!
  3. I must admit, I'm a little disappointed that Notts County will only be taking on a trialist or youth team. However, I do think it's important that we support our team, no matter who they're playing against. After all, it's not just about whether we win or lose – it's about being there for our team and showing them that we're behind them, no matter what. So, whether we're up against a big-name club or a group of young hopefuls, I'll be there cheering Notts County on with all my heart. Let's show them what true fans are made of!
  4. Welcome to PIN, @Bee. Interesting username, what's the reason behind it if I may ask?
  5. I can recall how supporters were divided in their opinions about Curtis Thompson during his time at Notts, but he's certainly flourished since leaving the club. If Notts were to sign him again, I reckon he'd make for an excellent impact player, particularly if we need someone to inject pace and energy into the midfield. Personally, though, I get the impression that he'll end up with a League One team instead – his talent and hard work have definitely not gone unnoticed!
  6. Blimey, that was certainly a bonkers penalty, but I don't reckon it was a bad choice at all! If it had found the back of the net, everyone would be singing his praises. John's been doing it precisely because it flummoxes the keepers, so he's well aware of the risks. No point dwelling on it - at the end of the day, Notts came out victorious, and that's what truly counts!
  7. I completely understand where you're coming from. Critiquing someone's hair or a single tooth is quite trivial and, quite frankly, irrelevant to their abilities as a professional. It's unfortunate that such comments are made, even if not intentionally racist, as it detracts from the person's talents and capabilities. Every manager will indeed encounter strange requests or unwarranted criticism, but it's essential for them to remain focused on their coaching and improvement. As the saying goes, success speaks for itself – and once someone stops paying heed to trivial criticisms, others will eventually give them the respect they deserve.
  8. It's absolutely lovely to see Vicky McClure displaying such enthusiasm and ardour for her team. I reckon she'd have been chuffed to bits to be at Wembley rather than on the acting set. Her passion truly shines, and it's quite endearing, isn't it?
  9. Couldn't agree more! PON is a community like no other, with a remarkable sense of togetherness. It's truly amazing to see all the members come together and support each other. Here's to hoping that it continues to thrive and reach new heights!
  10. @AmericanPie, I'm unable to access the link you've shared, mate. Could you be a sport and provide a quick summary of the main points he mentioned? It would be incredibly helpful. Thanks a bunch!
  11. Google really gets it - Notts County is truly a fantastic team! That charming little animation they display when browsing Notts-related content perfectly captures the spirit and enthusiasm of the club's fans. Hats off to Google for recognising the greatness of Notts County!
  12. The cover and display images are absolutely brilliant, they truly encapsulate the essence of the content, and engaging for the audience. Excellent job!
  13. Hi @Chris, thanks ever so much for your input. I'll investigate this matter further and get back to you soon. Cheers!
  14. It's quite remarkable how in this region, the heat is a seemingly ever-present factor in daily life. The relentless sun seems to constantly scorch the earth, making it necessary for everyone to don not only a hat but also carry a bottle of water with them. This is especially true during the rather overbearing late afternoons, when venturing out without these essentials becomes almost unbearable. It's interesting to note that even when rain does make an occasional appearance, it hardly lasts for more than an hour, leaving little reprieve from the sweltering conditions. In the rare instances of all-day showers, it feels as if nature has decided to bestow its kindness onto the parched earth. Adapting to this climate requires constant adjustments and forethought to ensure a comfortable existence.
  15. Your link seems different than the one I got from the tweet, but I could still embed yours. @Chris will sort it, I am sure. The pre-season holds no significance for me, as it's merely a warm-up for the players. Can anyone inform me if Notts continues to live stream matches during the pre-season?
  16. It appears that I might need to invest in a VPN provider, but I will verify if I can stream the episodes online. @Fan of Big Tone, you may not be the only one in that case. We could initiate a Team Talk review club on here.
  17. Did Jodie Jones utilise it, retweet or like it at the very least? It's a brilliant design, and I have my fingers crossed that he recognises the time you invested in it.
  18. You couldn't invent this sort of thing, but someone clearly has! Wrexham pursuing Macaulay Langstaff seems unlikely, as I doubt he'd be keen on making such a move. It's not that Wrexham isn't appealing, but I'm sceptical he's the kind to depart for a rival. True, Gateshead were promoted, but considering their smaller size, it was a sensible business decision. Wrexham and Plymouth, on the other hand, simply didn't make sense.
  19. I possessed an iPad whilst working as a lorry driver; the operating system was satisfactory, but I didn't have a computer at that time. Although, I had a compact laptop which was designated for work purposes. I discovered that converting and transferring music, as well as retrieving photos, was quite cumbersome. What I seek now is a device that I can simply plug in and effortlessly use. Thank you. I'll have a look at some of the local computer shops when I feel a bit more up to it, and I'll get back to you once I've compiled a list. Cheers! I am not concerned about the expense, as long as it's justifiable. I could consider spending up to £600, assuming the device has a decent lifespan. A Windows tablet seems like a sensible investment, as I am familiar with it. I purchased a desktop computer after moving into my home, so I don't require an overly powerful device—just sufficient for everyday tasks and compact in size, since I plan to take walks once things receive approval.
  20. Can someone explain why fans think that Jodi Jones joining for two years means Ruben Rodrigues will leave? They play different roles, so shouldn't Notts need a new attacking midfielder rather than a winger if this was true?
  21. Indeed, it was quite juvenile for a mature individual, but that has consistently been Charles' nature. @JIMBO Hopefully, the insanity ceases. The expense of living in the UK seems rather dreadful. Regarding the strikes, people will always desire more money; some demands will be justifiable, while others are simply about taking advantage.
  22. What’s new in your world? What’s on your mind? I thought a general chat would be good to strike up a conversation since we are out of season. With the tumbleweed blowing around as silent as King Charles gratitude towards his civil servants. It would be good to see what’s new, or just to hear what members want to get off their chests.
  23. Apart from the National League, would you consider the Premier League to be the subsequent most challenging division in which to achieve success? I am not referring to the quality of play, but rather the difficulty in accomplishing objectives. Additionally, why do you believe that English managers are increasingly being disregarded for top-flight positions, particularly towards the higher end of the standings? For instance, Eddie, who many might have expected to struggle whilst adapting to a wealthier club like Newcastle United. Nonetheless, it is invigorating to observe his performance. When Newcastle United dismissed Steve Bruce, they might have opted for any manager, but they selected Eddie Howe. What are your thoughts on this matter?
  24. I am an avid Don Henley admirer, with Tom Petty following closely behind as one of my favourites. Alongside Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Elvis, and countless other artists that I could mention. During my time living in the UK, I frequently attended concerts. If seeing the big names was out of my budget, or if I simply favoured a more intimate setting, I would take pleasure in hearing Irish folk bands perform at the Shirland Miners Welfare.
  25. There's no need to stress. It's likely that they will eventually hire someone to write about Notts, though it may not be as in-depth or frequent as we would prefer. The Nottingham Post hasn't been the same since the mid-80s. In its online format, the website is cluttered with advertisements, making it quite slow to load. Even when looking at the newspaper version, mentions of Notts can be few and far between.
