Jodi has always been a player who thrives when the team’s attacking, so moving him higher up the pitch feels like a natural step. His willingness to adapt but still stay true to his strengths is something every manager values. The bit that stands out to me is how he embraces competition, not every player likes it, but he seems to see it as a way to get better. With the atmosphere at Meadow Lane tomorrow and the squad we’ve got, this could be a season where Jodi Jones really kicks on. If he stays fit, he’ll be one of our key players without doubt.

Luke Williams is very detailed in his approach to coaching; he thinks a lot about protecting his players first and foremost. That’s a great thing, as some managers will insist more from players due to their position being on the line if success doesn’t come. I am sure this isn’t the case for Williams. Yet, he takes care of the injured players and acknowledges that it’s important to keep Cedwyn Scott’s injury quiet for now, which is a very respectful sign of that. His coaching and management style is impressive; he is the best manager Notts has truly had in decades.

I have concerns about the pressure which is being placed on Jamie's shoulders, whilst I think it was a poor decision to give him the managers role, I will back him.
If he did half of this it would make a difference. Good read @notts-joe! -

I think the system does the chance to work under its own merit, by the basis of the signings it would seem Ricardo is bringing useful contacts and the words used by those signings highlight a want to be a Notts County player.
I am more than prepared to see the club try anything which the aim is to make us a successful football club. -

I don't think we should worry about Colby Bishop being injured, I do not see him featuring much for us next season.
That said, we do need some good strikers and backup to help out. I do not really know much about Adam Campbell but his record isn't half bad and it might work out playing more regularly within league 2. If we sign him or help him reach his potential those are questions within themselves! -

Why Harrogate Town Might Have Taught Us the Key Lesson of the Season
in Features
Harrogate did not have to do much more than keep shape and wait for errors. We freeze when a weaker side comes to spoil the game. It has happened too often to ignore. I liked the bit about mental preparation because it is a side of football most fans never get to see. We talk about tactics and shape but the real battle is often inside the head. If Paterson can fix that, we will look a different side in tight games.
