Game 2: Match Discussion, The Ammies (H)
Nobody’s blaming the result on the referee or the officials. People are just pointing out that the referee had a poor game, which is fair enough. It’s silly to say that mentioning it is just making excuses. A lot of these comments seem to be coming from people who weren’t at the match, so they won’t have the same feel for how things played out. The simple truth is that Salford City were well organised and played quite well. We gave away two goals, and for most of the match our performance felt off. That’s what made the difference. If Notts had played more attacking football, things might have turned out better. But the midfield didn’t really get going, and Matthew Dennis up front didn’t get much of a chance to show what he can do. There’s no need to panic. It’s only two games in, and the players will need to improve when facing physical sides. The main thing is, if we’re going to play with a lone striker, he needs proper support from midfield. It also shows that we could do with another striker who’s comfortable leading the line. Dennis looks promising, but he seems more like someone who plays off a main striker rather than being the one up top on his own.

Jodi Jones Targets Goals and Promotion as Notts County Prepare for Salford City Test
Jodi has always been a player who thrives when the team’s attacking, so moving him higher up the pitch feels like a natural step. His willingness to adapt but still stay true to his strengths is something every manager values. The bit that stands out to me is how he embraces competition, not every player likes it, but he seems to see it as a way to get better. With the atmosphere at Meadow Lane tomorrow and the squad we’ve got, this could be a season where Jodi Jones really kicks on. If he stays fit, he’ll be one of our key players without doubt.

Maï Traoré to Notts
He looks like a useful footballer, and his previous experience sounds like it can transition to English football. If Mai Traore has the right attitude, he'll use this move to help us climb out of League Two or attract better opportunities for himself down the line. Somewhere in the middle would be nice, but he sounds very promising.

Efficient Recruitment
Let's face it, the previous owners in Trew and Hardy neither knew what it took to find and encourage good players nor harbour a supportive fan community. I would fear a fan zone under them, especially the Trews. While a live game of Cluedo might be fun, I wouldn't want the politics causing alienation of the fan base. To get on the subject, I think you can see the stats side of the recruitment coming into it now that things have settled. The club is doing wonders in identifying players. Some haven't worked, like Will Randall. I think that's more down to the player than the recruitment itself. There will be fails and duds, but when you are winning games, it's a lot easier to foster that winning mentality. The first season, we signed what we could. The campaign after that, the real squad building started to take place and in time it led to investing properly into the team. With the current campaign being the best season, I feel the recruitment can't be faulted. A strong focus on fixing the goalkeeping and defensive issues, adding to the wider weaknesses, especially in terms of the ability to defend. Yes, I would like to have had Macaulay Langstaff replaced earlier, but I think waiting until January made the board realise what funds remain would be best spent going for promotion. It's nice to read and feel optimistic about every signing, without worrying if they will fit or do well. That's a big, big improvement, don't you think?

Dan Crowley on Notts County: ‘I Love Playing Here, It’s the Best Time I’ve Had Playing Football’
It’s truly touching to see how passionate Dan is about Notts. It really highlights the unique bond between a player and his home crowd. Let’s keep the support going strong!

Notts County’s Head Coach Luke Williams on Player Dynamics and Team Unity
Luke Williams is very detailed in his approach to coaching; he thinks a lot about protecting his players first and foremost. That’s a great thing, as some managers will insist more from players due to their position being on the line if success doesn’t come. I am sure this isn’t the case for Williams. Yet, he takes care of the injured players and acknowledges that it’s important to keep Cedwyn Scott’s injury quiet for now, which is a very respectful sign of that. His coaching and management style is impressive; he is the best manager Notts has truly had in decades.

Match Discussion: FA Cup Qualifying - The Lambs (A)
All I am going to say, is prepare for a meltdown if Tamworth end up getting the better of Notts.

Coronavirus
I think at this point people just need to look out for their families and respect the guidelines, the death rate is enough to make most take this pandemic seriously.

The Flying Dutchman who always wore his pilot jacket at the dugout of games. Good read this.

Match Discussion: Game 35 - The Cardinals (H)
I'm away, so it will be the first game I've missed also season at Meadow Lane. Notts have to start bright and positive early on, they perform better with this approach and the confidence just picks up.

Match Discussion: Game 32 - Daggers (A)
If Notts were to lose, some fans just need to sup it in and avoid spitting out their dummies. There's a long way to go yet.

Match Discussion: Game 14 - The Coasters (H)
Smaller crowd than expected, steady performance but nothing special. Great win.
-
Match Discussion: Game 12 - The Ravens (A)
Get the ball on the deck, avoid hoofing it and Notts will do just fine. I don't expect another win, it would be good but Bromley are flying high at the moment and a point seems less greedy.
-
Match Discussion: Game 1 - The Spitfires (A)
I think early goals count for little unless you smoothly control a game, for Notts it will all be about creating chances and holding the ball in the midfield. It will be good to see Jim O'Brien bossing it, hopefully a fit Mitch Rose will start t

Match Discussion: Game 7 - The Grecians (A)
Kewell looks out of his depth with Notts. Hardy is in meltdown mode on Twitter and Notts looked destined to be in a relegation better this season.

Blink1862: Notts County must put a stop to culture of uncertainty
It's quite serious to think that the club is yet again in another relegation battle. Whether this will be long-winded like prior battles or simply a case of the Magpies finding their feet under John Sheridan remains to be seen, but it's obvious by now that this sorry state of affairs will take years to fix. Whilst an increased amount of fans are becoming hacked off with Sheridan, and a minority standing behind the decision to protest for “fresh change” in the direction that club is being lead, there's one thing which is clear - talk of the sale only leads to “uncertainty” and “unpaid debts”, which multiplies that by whatever percent you could imagine. I was, and remain, uncertain about the future of Notts, even after the club parted ways with the sixth manager since the disappointing loss of Steve Cotterill (not including Paul Hart and Mick Halsall who took temporary charge as caretaker managers). My feelings only increased after the appointment of Jamie Fullarton, as many didn't quite understand the decision behind the appointment. Can the club be saved with a simple fix? It's not as easy as waving a magic wand. Likewise you can't pull the wool over people's eyes, and you certainly can't tell fans how to feel – after all they're the reason the club is in operation no matter how you see it. Yet it will literally take years to put right all that has gone since Munto Finance took over, even more so under the lacklustre Trew era. That said, there were things which needed changing prior to mystery millions that mistakenly got pulled into the club rather than paying the costly milk bill. However, Munto had the basics right even though they represented more fiction than Sherlock Holmes, Jessica Fletcher and Hercule Poirot. The thing is, the community surrounding Notts was more close-knit without the millions. The majority of players cared, even during Munto with the newly signed players, but when you pay peanuts and give your better players away on freebies, surely the garden path isn't such a mysterious destination? Certainly there will be fingers wagging, voices debating who's to blame but this really beside the point. What matters is how you learn from your mistakes, how you move forward and ultimately how you address concerns. So when rumours of the club's takeover is reported as imminent, focus on the daily business, get the players prepared for the weekend's game (or whenever it is). Make uncertainty the last thing they think of, breed confidence and support those who do the supporting. By the time HMRC comes knocking, it will only make matters worse because even unsuccessful clubs that pull together have a better chance of riding out any storm - and of course it helps paying bills on time. Will this season be a write-off? Only the management and the board of Notts County can answer that, yet the clubs needs to snap out of this losing streak and pull itself back together. The only award that the club would win at the most is that of “most stressful club”. Match Discussion: Game 4 - Monkey Hangers (A)
Time to give Loach a try? I would like to see more of a partnership form with Stead and Forte. This will end up being a draw I suspect.

I hope mclown scores but if he dares celebrates by putting his finger to your fans direction god help me.

Notts County leave it too late as Accrington Stanley survive late blitz
Just shocking to see the score at half time! Credit for the two goals but thats it. Not remotely good enough, soon the away form will be as bad as his home record.

Match Discussion: Game 28 - Pools (H)
Before we played Luton I would expect to have won this, Hartlepool are no AFC Wimbledon. Losing here will just set people off again, which we all know what that will result in. No happy bunnies in the board and of course its our fault for not supporting the club and for complaining. Well I will be optimistic even if it does not go to plan, I might not be feeling things at Notts right now but its my team. Jamie needs to start letting the team pick itself, just find a formation at home we play using.

Alex Greenwood departs Notts Ladies for a 'significant' fee
If it enables them to sign better players its a good decision, Rick seems to know how to build a side and I am sure the money will be put to good use.
-
Match Discussion: Game 27 - The Hatters (A)
Solid win, something which the players and manager can build on. If we fail to win at Meadow Lane, will it be a case of swooping one outcome for another? More of the same would be good to see.

'Gary MacKenzie' arrives at Meadow Lane on a 28-day loan
My first thoughts would be summed up with its a gamble. 28 days seems a bit pointless, will it give us time to see him at his best? It sounds like he has been a part player for Donny and that might mean he needs time. I hope he sorts the back out as if he can it will be a good move.

Notts-Joe Column: What's required from Jamie Fullarton
I have concerns about the pressure which is being placed on Jamie's shoulders, whilst I think it was a poor decision to give him the managers role, I will back him. If he did half of this it would make a difference. Good read @notts-joe!

Notts County CEO compares Jamie Fullarton to Brendan Rodgers
I do not want Rodger red hat at Notts, Mr Winters may like a hat to keep his head warm but if he speaks at least say something logical. Talk about adding pressure unnecessarily to a manager.
