  1. Hello, @STAT. Welcome to the PON community.
  2. It could be why the club is aiming for a stronger, more creative midfield with plenty of options. I see your point, but players need time to settle, and we can only hope he makes an impact while wearing our colours. His previous clubs might not have brought out the best in him, but that doesn’t mean we won’t.
  3. It's great to see everyone chatting about Ollie Norburn’s signing! All the different views really show how we’re both excited and a bit cautious as fans. Sure, his past injuries are something to think about, but when he's fit, his stats are pretty solid. Moving up from League One to League Two, he brings some skill and leadership we could really use. It's true that we could use more midfielders who can score goals, but Ollie might just step up to that. How he clicks with the other midfielders will be key, and maybe we’ll see some new tactics pop up. On the bright side, every new signing is a bit of a risk, so keeping our expectations realistic while still being hopeful seems like the best approach. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
  4. I didn’t notice any downtime or issues, so I’m not sure if it affected me or not. It’s not the end of the world if the site goes down, but it’s always good to know why and what’s happening. As @liampie said, at least you know what it is.
  5. It sounds like he got to the hospital just in time to avoid life-changing injuries. The article mentions he "required immediate surgery." It’s good that everyone acted quickly. He’s only 54, and hopefully, he’ll be back on his feet before too long.
  6. It looks good, definitely a step in the right direction. The site has evolved a lot over the years.
  7. A solid Serie B team that had spells in the Italian top league and featured some excellent players. Gheorghe Hagi, for example. I hope a Phoenix club is formed.
  8. I don't think the club would bring in a coach who is difficult to hire unless their experience or talent is widely recognised. It doesn't seem very likely that Tobias Solberg is the candidate the Reedtz are most focused on. I could be wrong.
  9. Rest in Peace, Uriah Rennie. He paved the way for others, that's for sure.
  10. The Reedtz have always valued managers with some level of experience or a strong reputation. This doesn't seem like the kind of candidate they would choose. Ian Burchnall, Luke Williams, and Stuart Maynard all had some background in management. Tobias Solberg appears to be just beginning his career, so he surely isn't a realistic option.
  11. Hello, @Simon Jackson. Welcome to the site, we are a friendly bunch. I hope you enjoy PON.
  12. Hello, @PieHard. Welcome to the PON community.
  13. Hello, welcome to the community here on PON @willallen50.
  14. Losing to Ali made him a better man. He found peace and faith, and that’s inspiring. RIP Big George.
  15. That was a massive goal for Nick Tsaroulla! You could see how much he wanted it, and his work rate throughout the game was immense. He’s been a brilliant signing, so composed on the ball but also aggressive in his defensive work. His comments about the team’s resilience are spot on, too. We’ve had games in the past where we’d have let a lead slip, but now we’re looking a lot stronger at the back. The fans have played their part as well, away support was class again, and it’s great to hear players like Tsaroulla appreciate it. Hopefully, this is just the start for him in front of goal because he’s got the ability to contribute even more.
  16. Well done to David McGoldrick, his goal was a very cheeky effort and his whole performance was top-notch. Who's leading PON's MOM now? 😉
  17. Good players will come, but we need to make sure that players are given more than a few cameo appearances. Junior Morias was always reportedly injured, but when he did play, I thought he looked quite useful.
  18. Awful news, I am hoping that Jordan Chiedozie recovers well and pulls through.
  19. The club's approach to recruitment is good, it helps Maynard. He doesn’t just sign players for the sake of it, he looks for the right fit. Traoré and Jatta offering different threats is exactly what we need, especially when teams sit deep. Also, great to see Whittaker getting some recognition, he’s got a smart football brain. Defence has been a concern with injuries, but McDonald stepping up has been huge. Really positive vibes around the club right now.
  20. Traore’s signing seems like a smart move. His stats from Scandinavia are impressive, and he brings a mix of pace, power, and skill to our front line. Montague’s comments suggest he’s got a good work ethic and strong link-up play, which bodes well for his integration into the team. The fact that he’s left-footed is a bonus. While there’s always some risk with new signings, his experience across multiple leagues should help him adapt. If he can replicate his form from Norway, we’ve got a player who could make a real difference. Here’s hoping for a smooth transition and some exciting goals!
  21. The interview shows why Jack is such a promising talent. He’s taking responsibility for improving his accuracy and making better decisions in attacking areas. For someone playing as a holding midfielder, his ability to arrive at the right time in the box is impressive. That goal might just be the first of many for us this season.
  22. Happy birthday, Neil! Your passion and commitment to Notts County made us all believe again. We’ll always remember the incredible journey you took us on.
  23. I love the FA Cup and all the stories that come with it, but this match against Peterborough United will really test us. It’s great to hear about players like Jodi Jones making progress, we’ve missed his spark on the pitch. The update on Dan Crowley and Scott Robertson is promising too, but it sounds like it’ll take time. Stuart Maynard’s focus on preparation, especially practising penalties, shows he’s leaving no stone unturned.
  24. Welcome to Pride of Nottingham, @Peter Speers. You should find it incredibly insightful and a good place to be.
  25. Didzy’s been the heartbeat of our attack this season. What stands out most is his ability to stay composed in high-pressure situations. Whether it’s converting a penalty or threading the perfect assist, he rarely puts a foot wrong. His age might make some think he’s nearing the end, but his performances suggest otherwise. He’s shown incredible fitness levels, and you can see he genuinely loves playing for Notts. It’s also clear that his presence boosts the squad's morale. Younger players must learn loads from him, and his experience is helping us keep pace at the top of the league. If he stays fit, I wouldn’t bet against him being pivotal in a potential promotion push this year.
