  1. Been waiting for this game all season and it's shame that a certain Liam Noble has had a fall out with Cooper, so probably won't be playing. I wouldn't change much in the line up, except by giving Stead a rest by bringing in Shola and also bringing Hawkridge back into the side. We should be too strong for them and I can see us running out 3-1 winners, I just hope that it will prompt Cooper's departure and I won't be sorry to see him go!
  2. Yet again, the Mansfield hoodoo comes back to haunt us. I have to be honest, I didn’t even listen to the game as I just had that feeling that we would be stuffed! I’m not going to let yesterday bother me because at the end of the day, I am very happy with the 6 points we got this week and having looked at the fixtures for the next three months, I’m thinking that we can win a lot of those to cement our place near the top, especially playing the bottom side next week to hopefully get us back winning again.
  3. We appear to be getting better and better at the moment, whilst the Stags are just not gelling at all it seems, so you would expect that this will be Notts's best chance in years to finally beat them! Evans was sent off last night, so he probably won't be on the touchline and Stags fans are bemoaning their midfield and wasteful strike force, but they are still not that far off third place in the table. I'd expect Notts to line up very similar to Saturday, rather than last night, with the exception of Dickinson still in for the injured Jones and I think it could well come down to the fact that we are more clinical in front of goal. I still reckon we'll lose 2-1 as we never get anything from Field Mill! Plus the fact that I won't be disappointed if we do, but really happy if we get anything from the game!
  4. Fancy a draw to be honest, Exeter have come a long way since the same fixture last year when they were bottom. Will be interesting to see the line up he chooses, if he does rotate the squad, can’t really see where he will do it as Jones will be out anyway and Forte might be struggling.
  5. I look at this game as an important one to win in order to maintain the momentum. With Lincoln, Exeter and Mansfield coming up as our next three fixtures, 3 points on Saturday would give us the right impetus going forward into those games. I'll go for a hard earned 2-1 win, with Tootle and Forte scoring. After that, if we can get four, or five points from those three games, that would set us up nicely for an easier October!
  6. It's just not good enough, I'm starting to run out of things to moan about! Can't fault yesterday's performance, it was a big gamble to make so many changes for the match, especially against strong opponents, but it worked. Still waiting for Stead to score in open play though
  7. Plus, win tonight and we go top! ????????⚽️???? (Alan Hardy emoji overload!)
  8. Swap Hewitt and Stead for Milsom and Forte, then we might have a chance of turning them over. If he goes with the same starting XI as last week, I can't see us getting any more than a draw out of the game.
  9. I can see this also, the only thing he might do different is swap Walker for Grant and put Grant out wide. If he goes 442, I can see us getting beat 3-0, but we might nick a point with 4411. Unlikely though, so I will go for a solid 2-0 defeat.

You missed out, 'Next Club, Ilkeston Town'! Not good enough, so have no idea as to why we have given him a contract, my only thinking is that we have signed up all of these players in order to loan them out to Ilson, in order to guarantee promotion for them! The higher up the leagues they go, the more beneficial they be as a feeder club.
  11. I wouldn't say near flawless at all. Granted there have been a lot of positives, but he really upset a lot of supporters when he voted against their wishes on the Checkatrade trophy and also decided to mess with Lifeline, the one thing that shouldn't be touched! Also, using a fan meeting to go to the press with and fabricate a story out of it, hasn't gone down well with a small minority of fans. Finally, the boast that we will be signing quality over quantity and then going and signing up a bunch of trialist nobodies these last couple of days has just made a mockery out of the whole summer transfer policy. First 6 months deserves a solid, but unspectacular 7/10.
  12. I'm actually surprised it has taken him this long to sign. I would have expected him to have signed it there and then as I bet he hasn't had a queue of clubs desperate for his signature! No statement on the website as to how long it is for, so I am assuming that it is for 1 year only?
  13. An entertaining 2-2 draw. The issue we now have is that our season is over, so a lot of the motivation will have gone from the players as shown with the sloppy mistakes at the back returning. I can't see us keeping a clean sheet as Blackpool have too much power, but hopefully we will cause them enough problems in order to get a result.
  14. We may be, but I reckon one more win will definitely see us safe. I can't see Newport winning 5 of their last nine games, or even four wins and two draws if we only get another 3 points. Hopefully Luton and Portsmouth will beat them in the next two and Orient unfortunately are just a mess, they won't get to 40 points.
  15. Amazing win and you cannot fault any of the side yesterday to get a result after the sending off, especially so early in the game. Initially I thought the ref had got it completely wrong and so did social media, but after seeing a still shot of the incident there is no question that Yeates's studs were showing and he caught him around the knee.
  16. Tough game against February's form team with 5 wins from 6 league games. I'm hoping that their manager gets the manager of the month award, thus guaranteeing us the three points! No O'Connor for the next two games, who was starting to become the player we expected him to be, so will assume that Thompson will come in to add energy and some ball carrying ability, but not authority. The big question is will Nolan bring Duffy back in? Surely not after two clean sheets on the trot!
  17. Plymouth may well be turning into the Arsenal of League 2, look good up until Christmas and then falling away. Excellent and unexpected result from Notts, but much needed after failing to beat Yeovil at the weekend. I reckon another 10 points should see us safe this season as I can't see either Orient, or Newport gathering any more than that.
  18. A few shots on goal would be nice! News today on the embargo is that there is no news for another 48-72 hours, which means no new players for this weekend. It's looking grimmer and grimmer at the moment, we just need a spark but the issue is that if we do score a goal, I can't see us not conceding 2. I really hope they prove me wrong!
  19. Yet again the energy for Notts comes from off the bench. Genaro did more in the few minutes he was on than Rodman has done all season. Hopefully JS will now realise that it's no good having an experienced side if there is no energy or urgency within it and that comes from having some youth and pace on the field. 20. Football in the Conmunity day today with thousands of tickets given away. I now fully expect a dire performance that normally accompanies these types of promotion and putting these kids off for life! [emoji35][emoji36][emoji42] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Yes, announced on Radio Red this morning and O'Connor won't be fit either, so I have now changed my team to be: Loach Tootle, Laing, Duffy, Audel Richards Aborah, Milsom Collins Stead, Forte Duffy should be more at home hopefully against Crewe as they don't have a big target man up front, the worrying thing is if we allow them to move the ball quickly through midfield.
  22. This has turned into a must win game for Notts after 3 defeats on the trot and a team of untouchables. Changes have to be made against a side that has always had a good footballing philosophy, so I can see a bit of a struggle against what should be a more mobile team. We could try Dickinson at Centre Half as he can't surely be any worse in that position and he is supposed to be able to play there. Go with a midfield diamond as we have no natural width and a side of: Loach Tootle, Laing, Dickinson, Audel Richards O'Connor (If fit, or) Aborah, Milsom Collins Stead, Forte To Mr Sheridan, Collin, Duffy and Rodman do not currently deserve to be in the side, so bin them to the bench to show that everybody can be dropped, not just the players you inherited. Also stop taking off your leading goalscorer when you need a goal!
  23. Good read that @Piethagoramand pretty much sums up my views on the squad. I am going on Saturday, but if I turn up and see that Jordan has been dropped to the bench and Rodman is still in the side, I think I may think twice about the next game. It is becoming apparent that some players are untouchable and unsurprisingly they all appear to be JS signings, with Dickinson, Rodman and Duffy not showing anything at the moment. If he doesn't man up soon and admit that some of them aren't playing well enough to be in the side, then the fans will turn on him and the players, which is the last thing we need.
  24. It was a real shame, but inevitable as there was no way the pitch would have been playable at any point after the rain came down. The only part of Saturday that annoyed me was realising that I'd basically thrown £4 away in using the cattle market car park, which I bet won't be made free for the rearranged fixture.
  25. Play five first teamers, but tell them not to tackle, or get tackled as it is paramount that they don't get injured. Fill the rest of the side with fringe players who can do all the tackling and running. You can guarantee that Murray will be telling his side again not to tackle, so the last thing we need for the weekend is two players out who would normally start. I would even be tempted to play Collin in order only to put four outfield players at risk.
