It's either a visit to Woking or Brackley in the FA Cup 1st Rd.
I know many of a fan will be wishing for the club to focus on the league, but winning games especially cup matches can be something to ignite a season. We didn't start as our best, but there's no reason why we can't take each round as a chance to reward the players who are grafting. If the 2nd round can be reached, it would at the very least give the players some excitement and momentum to encourage positive form.

Sam Austin: "The Magic of the FA Cup Is Alive and Well"
Itโs also encouraging to hear how connected the team feels, even with injured players like Cedwyn Scott still being involved. That sort of unity is often overlooked but can be the difference-maker when it comes to big games. This seasonโs been exciting so far, letโs hope the cup run adds another layer of success.

Match Discussion: Game 35 - The Railwaymen (H)
If Notts County show up and play to their potential, I genuinely believe Crewe will face difficulties. I hope we can create the space to keep progressing because we often invite pressure when moving backward. Credit to Stuart Maynard; he appears to be coaching this tendency out of Notts County.

Notts County Embraces Change: Stuart Maynard Steps into the Spotlight
Early signs are promising, and our fan base needs to give Stuart Maynard a fair chance. We are performing well in League Two, and if he can make progress with our away performances, things might improve. It will take time, and unfortunately, I believe some players are not quite up to the task we need, but Maynard will identify this, and things should improve more quickly over time.

Write about why you joined
Why did you join prideofnottingham.co.uk? I think I joined back in October. At that time, I found myself reading a lot about Notts online, and I thought the site was worth joining. I had been reading the site for a while, but it was the friendliness that won me over. What is your main highlight of being a member? I haven't been here long enough. How much have you seen PoN grow during your time? I have seen the site make great progress in 2023. When I first started reading the site in 2015, I felt that the content has improved significantly since then. As a community, what would you say are the three core values to PoN and why? It's fair to say that this is a great place for discussion. The friendliness is excellent, and you are made to feel comfortable, which is appreciated. There seems to be a large group very committed to delivering good content, and that's a win-win in my eyes. Excellent quality, dedication, and effort sum things up for me.

Match Discussion: Game 29 - The Hatters (H)
Well, if you were a natural, you would predict a draw again, I reckon. Stockport can be strong defensively when they're on form, so we'll need to get in behind them to make things happen. If we can defend reasonably well, the match should be entertaining and not too one-sided. The games at Meadow Lane this season have mostly been very good, and I hope this one will be too.

Welcome @Harry Buckley
Hello, @Harry Buckley. Welcome to the PON community.

Match Discussion: Game 18 - The Bantams (H)
Bradford won't be as easy as the league table would suggest, but I think Notts has the quality to achieve the best outcome from the game. If Notts can strike a balance between a solid defence and an attacking style that we are fully capable of, and exploit that direct threat, it should be an enjoyable match.
-
Match Discussion: Game 5 - Super White Army (H)
It would be a great experience to see a dedicated and resolute Notts defeat Tranmere with ease. However, if the final score reflects such a result, it may be more due to Tranmere's errors. Going into the match, Notts should feel confident and being at ease with the ball is crucial.

League Two News Roundup: Get the Latest Updates and Developments
I am astonished about Wrexham's result! A 10-goal thriller isn't exactly what you expect to see from newly promoted sides. It'll certainly be interesting to see how they respond in their next match.

Notts Countyโs John Bostock Talks About His Return to Doncaster Rovers
I appreciate the honesty in Bostock's words; it's refreshing. He enjoyed his time at Doncaster, yet is completely committed to performing his best for Notts County now. I reckon that's a key aspect of football - respecting all teams, yet wholeheartedly striving for your own club's success.

Notts County Show Resilience in Thrilling Win Over Grimsby Town
The atmosphere at Meadow Lane felt great, electric when Notts scored and both sets of fans witnessed a great game of football with plenty of drama and excitement. There's nothing quite like a comeback victory to get the home fans on their feet, and I'm sure the Notts players heard us in full voice as our team fought back to claim all three points.

Macaulay Langstaff on Target in Notts County's Pre-Season Triumph
With a player like Macaulay Langstaff on your side, you know there are goals to be had. I'm curious if Luke Williams plans to play two strikers either all the time or just occasionally. I think Langstaff will benefit greatly from the new signings such as Dan Crowley and David McGoldrick. Whether it's a tap-in or not, you have to have talent to convert goals - just look at Kairo Mitchell.

Aaron Nemane agrees to new two-year contract with Notts County
Nemane's extension is fantastic for the morale of the club and the fans. His exceptional flair, speed, and unique play style make games exciting and gives supporters something to look forward to. Well done, Notts for securing his continued services! The next two years are looking brighter with such a talent on our side.

Notts County Manager Luke Williams Discusses Pre-Season Preparations
I like the fact that the manager expects the new arrivals to adapt quickly to his philosophy. This gives a super promise of a potentially exciting season. The manager's positive attitude will surely rub off onto the players and the staff.

Notts County signs Port Vale goalkeeper Aidan Stone on a free transfer
Some Port Vale fans have expressed that he starts off well, but gradually becomes poor over time and concedes more than he saves. A lot of their fans are simply not bothered he was released. This either suggests we are taking a punt signing him or he just had a difficult time in his later stay with Port Vale. Good luck to him.

Key Dates in Notts Countyโs 2023-24 Season
These fixtures are likely the best weโve had in a while. There are some really great matches, such as Mansfield at home and Grimsby away. If Notts play their cards right, we could continue our form from last season and be in a strong position by Christmas.

Dan Crowley: The Journey of an Individual Player - โIโm My Own Player'
Itโs great news that heโs becoming a father. That should make life a lot easier and I donโt think it will distract him from doing his best. In fact, it should make him more determined to do well so he can provide everything his family needs. I wish him and his partner well and am excited about his signing.

Reedtz Brothers Era "Feels like a good dream"
Itโs almost like a dream, I admit that. What a superb four years we have had, where the focus has been on accountability and improvements. The way the club used its time in the National League has undoubtedly helped us move forward.

Notts County signs former Arsenal academy graduate Dan Crowley on 2-year-deal
Any player to come through the Arsenal system has something special. We just need to make sure we see it and get it in his performances on a regular basis. Welcome to Meadow Lane, Dan Crowley.

Notts County Captain Kyle Cameron Commits Future to Club
He said, via Twitter that the deal had been completed awhile ago. I would be amused if it was before the Stockport County rumours started, Notts should announce them when it's finalised. It's better for the fans, but great to have Kyle extend his stay

Jim OโBrien praises Notts Countyโs new signings
He may not hold the title of captain, but he is undoubtedly the leader both in the dressing room and on the field. Itโs fortunate that he has decided not to retire just yet, as his performance last season was impressive. He even earned several Man of the Match awards.
-
David McGoldrick Signs Two-Year Contract with Boyhood Club Notts County
I believe it could be a good signing. However, it depends on how we integrate him into the squad. David McGoldrick didnโt have to return to Notts. Letโs give him a chance.
