It's either a visit to Woking or Brackley in the FA Cup 1st Rd.
I know many of a fan will be wishing for the club to focus on the league, but winning games especially cup matches can be something to ignite a season. We didn't start as our best, but there's no reason why we can't take each round as a chance to reward the players who are grafting. If the 2nd round can be reached, it would at the very least give the players some excitement and momentum to encourage positive form.

Sam Austin: "The Magic of the FA Cup Is Alive and Well"
It’s also encouraging to hear how connected the team feels, even with injured players like Cedwyn Scott still being involved. That sort of unity is often overlooked but can be the difference-maker when it comes to big games. This season’s been exciting so far, let’s hope the cup run adds another layer of success.

Match Discussion: Game 35 - The Railwaymen (H)
If Notts County show up and play to their potential, I genuinely believe Crewe will face difficulties. I hope we can create the space to keep progressing because we often invite pressure when moving backward. Credit to Stuart Maynard; he appears to be coaching this tendency out of Notts County.

Red Card or just a Yellow, standard of refereeing?
It was a red card any day of the week, the referee didn't want to challenge the Barrow players, and I think the player in question was named Barrow's Man of the Match. That says a lot because he wasn't very involved in the football, just the negative aspects.

Notts County Embraces Change: Stuart Maynard Steps into the Spotlight
Early signs are promising, and our fan base needs to give Stuart Maynard a fair chance. We are performing well in League Two, and if he can make progress with our away performances, things might improve. It will take time, and unfortunately, I believe some players are not quite up to the task we need, but Maynard will identify this, and things should improve more quickly over time.

Write about why you joined
Why did you join prideofnottingham.co.uk? I think I joined back in October. At that time, I found myself reading a lot about Notts online, and I thought the site was worth joining. I had been reading the site for a while, but it was the friendliness that won me over. What is your main highlight of being a member? I haven't been here long enough. How much have you seen PoN grow during your time? I have seen the site make great progress in 2023. When I first started reading the site in 2015, I felt that the content has improved significantly since then. As a community, what would you say are the three core values to PoN and why? It's fair to say that this is a great place for discussion. The friendliness is excellent, and you are made to feel comfortable, which is appreciated. There seems to be a large group very committed to delivering good content, and that's a win-win in my eyes. Excellent quality, dedication, and effort sum things up for me.

Match Discussion: Game 29 - The Hatters (H)
Well, if you were a natural, you would predict a draw again, I reckon. Stockport can be strong defensively when they're on form, so we'll need to get in behind them to make things happen. If we can defend reasonably well, the match should be entertaining and not too one-sided. The games at Meadow Lane this season have mostly been very good, and I hope this one will be too.

Hello, @Harry Buckley. Welcome to the PON community.

Match Discussion: Game 18 - The Bantams (H)
Bradford won't be as easy as the league table would suggest, but I think Notts has the quality to achieve the best outcome from the game. If Notts can strike a balance between a solid defence and an attacking style that we are fully capable of, and exploit that direct threat, it should be an enjoyable match.

Match Discussion: Game 5 - Super White Army (H)
It would be a great experience to see a dedicated and resolute Notts defeat Tranmere with ease. However, if the final score reflects such a result, it may be more due to Tranmere's errors. Going into the match, Notts should feel confident and being at ease with the ball is crucial.

Mike Dean - VAR
The implementation of VAR and the human error that comes with it is often criticised. No official should be able to make a call without being fined and banned for several games. The decision to save a "mate" brings the game's reputation into question and damages the integrity of the official. This should be treated as seriously as match fixing. The motivation behind a decision should never be to save face, but rather to get the correct decision spot on. It is interesting to note that other sports have been able to implement similar systems without as much fuss. Is there something that football can learn from these sports?

League Two News Roundup: Get the Latest Updates and Developments
I am astonished about Wrexham's result! A 10-goal thriller isn't exactly what you expect to see from newly promoted sides. It'll certainly be interesting to see how they respond in their next match.

Notts County’s John Bostock Talks About His Return to Doncaster Rovers
I appreciate the honesty in Bostock's words; it's refreshing. He enjoyed his time at Doncaster, yet is completely committed to performing his best for Notts County now. I reckon that's a key aspect of football - respecting all teams, yet wholeheartedly striving for your own club's success.

Notts County Show Resilience in Thrilling Win Over Grimsby Town
The atmosphere at Meadow Lane felt great, electric when Notts scored and both sets of fans witnessed a great game of football with plenty of drama and excitement. There's nothing quite like a comeback victory to get the home fans on their feet, and I'm sure the Notts players heard us in full voice as our team fought back to claim all three points.
