  1. I’ve been impressed with Martin Paterson’s attitude since he came in. He’s clearly not interested in playing up the occasion for himself and is instead concentrating on the job in hand. The honesty about team selection is refreshing too, it’s not about keeping players happy, it’s about results. The players will know where they stand with him, and that can only help. I think his approach to training after the Newport draw will get a response from the squad. Making things competitive in those sessions ensures everyone stays sharp. Salford will test us, but with the Meadow Lane crowd behind the team and Paterson’s focus on preparation, I’m confident we can put in a strong showing.

  2. There’s a lot to like about this squad now. Different options up front, a solid midfield, and a defence that’s improving despite injuries. The way Maynard talks about squad mentality is reassuring too, he clearly knows keeping everyone involved is key. I’d like to see more of Whittaker, as he looked bright against Gillingham. Also, can’t ignore McDonald’s impact, without him stepping up, we’d have real problems at the back. If we can maintain this momentum, we’ll be right in the mix at the top hopefully.

  3. It’s good to see someone as young as Jack speaking so highly of the fans and the club's environment. His comments about the importance of Meadow Lane and the energy we bring as supporters show he truly values what we do. Add to that his praise for the pitch conditions despite bad weather, it shows he doesn’t take anything for granted. Players like him are what make us proud as supporters!

  4. I thought we handled the game well yesterday, especially given how competitive Wimbledon were in the first half. We looked solid at the back, which is something that’s really improved this season. A few shaky moments, but on the whole, our defence kept them at bay and gave us a platform to nick a goal. It’s always good to see the team fighting for every ball, even when the game isn’t going in our favour. We’re showing more resilience now, and wins like this can be crucial come the end of the season. Every point counts, especially in such a tough league.

  5. What I’m loving about this season is the fight and resilience. We don’t let setbacks define us, whether it’s conceding an early goal or being down late in the game. Stuart Maynard has really got the team believing they can get something out of any match. Today, Chesterfield were dangerous, but we held our own, and David McGoldrick stepping up like that, even after missing the penalty, was massive. That kind of mentality is what’s going to push us up the table. Plus, George Abbott’s performance at wing-back was outstanding. His ability to adapt to different positions gives us so much tactical flexibility. It’s clear the lads are buying into Maynard’s vision, and that’s exciting for the rest of the season.

  6. Really enjoyed reading this interview with Abbott. His take on the game against Chesterfield is spot on, it’s a different kind of match altogether. The fact that he’s only 19 and taking all these challenges in stride says a lot. Playing wide right was new for him, but he managed to make a real impact. That assist was top-notch, and you can tell he’s got a sharp football mind. We’re in good hands with him in the squad, and I hope we get to see him score soon!

  7. Big game today, and it feels like it could be a turning point for the season. Maynard’s comments about consistency are exactly what we need to focus on. It’s a long season, but staying level-headed, as he mentioned, is key. Glad to hear McGoldrick’s back, his experience will be vital, especially in a game like this. Chesterfield are no pushover, but our away form gives me confidence. We’ve been able to create chances, and with our options on the pitch, I trust we can take them.

  8. In the upcoming match against Chesterfield, we have more than points to fight for, it's a matter of pride, given our shared history. The team must channel the energy of past rivalries to galvanise our performance on the pitch. Success against them would not only boost morale but also reinforce our commitment and place in the league. The fans are optimistic and ready to back the players to the hilt. Let’s hope we can show the same resilience and hunger for victory that has defined us in previous encounters. Here’s to a thrilling contest and hopefully, a turning point in our season.

  9. Maynard’s comments about Jatta settling in so well are spot on. It’s not easy for a player moving from another country, but he seems to have adapted quickly. His ability to score and create chances has been a game-changer for us. If he continues this form, it could be the difference between us battling for promotion or just floating in mid-table. I’m really looking forward to watching him develop even further as the season progresses.

  10. It’s a relief to hear that McGoldrick’s being managed carefully, he’s so crucial to our play, and it would be disastrous to rush him back and risk a longer-term injury. The squad depth is going to be key for us this season, especially with injuries starting to hit. Bass has been absolutely solid so far, and it’s nice to see him getting some recognition. His distribution really adds a new dimension to our game. It’s also good that Maynard is focusing on tactical flexibility; we can’t be a one-trick pony.

  11. Maynard’s first half tactics were spot on yesterday. The defensive resilience shown by the team was commendable, especially at a ground as challenging as Brunton Park. Jatta’s goal was a testament to the hard work they put in during training. And Robertson, coming back from injury, added a significant boost to our midfield. The way the team silenced the home crowd in the first half and then maintained the pressure in the second half speaks volumes about their grit and determination. Moreover, the travelling fans were a massive help; they truly were the 12th man. It was a well-earned victory, and I’m excited to see how they build on this performance in the coming games.

  12. Bedeau’s attitude is exactly what we need. He recognises the importance of facing his former club but keeps the focus on getting the result for Notts. I like how he speaks about staying switched on during possession, that’s something we’ve struggled with at times, especially against teams like Gillingham where we had all the ball but still came away with nothing. His experience at Morecambe in League One will definitely help us this season, and his calmness under pressure could be key in tight games. Really glad we signed him.

  13. Games like this are always tricky. Morecambe’s got nothing to lose, and their players will be fighting for everything to turn their form around. We’ve got to keep focused, especially after some of the injuries we’ve had. Missing players like Robertson and Jodi isn’t ideal, but we’ve shown we can still play well without them. With Bedeau and Crowley both having a point to prove against their former side, I’m confident we can get the result, but it won’t be easy. Morecambe will be scrapping for a point or more.

  14. Maynard’s comments about our performance and his positive outlook, even in the face of defeat, are truly encouraging. It’s evident that the team has been putting in a lot of effort and creating chances, even if the results haven’t always gone our way. Facing Morecambe’s aggressive style will be another challenge for our resilience and adaptability. However, we’ve consistently shown that we can rise to such occasions.

The absence of Jatta is certainly a setback, but prioritising player health is crucial. On a brighter note, the emergence of young talents like Kameron Muir highlights the club’s strong foundation. I’m optimistic about tomorrow’s match and eager to see how we fare against Morecambe.

  15. Jacob Bedeau’s recent interview highlights his professionalism and respect for Morecambe, even amidst their challenges. His dedication to Notts County’s objectives underscores his character. It’s refreshing to see players who value their journey and leverage their past experiences to drive their current ambitions.

At Notts, Jacob isn’t merely blending in; he’s excelling. His enthusiastic remarks about our playing style and the team’s potential are truly inspiring. I’m eager to see how he performs against his former club this weekend. Matches like these hold a unique significance, and I have no doubt Jacob will step up to the challenge.

  16. Good to see the club bringing in reinforcements after recent injuries. Josh Martin looks like a solid pick-up. Coming from a Premier League background and a title-winning side at Portsmouth, he’s got that winning experience. Plus, he’s still young, which means he’ll be eager to prove himself at this level. It’ll be interesting to see if he slots into the wing or more centrally in Maynard’s set-up, but either way, we could use the extra attacking threat. It’s only a short-term deal, so hopefully, he makes an impression quickly. I think this could be a very smart move.

  17. This match against Gillingham is truly shaping up to be a proper six-pointer. With both teams in fine form and so close in the league standings, Meadow Lane will be buzzing. Maynard has done wonders with our attacking play, and the confidence in the squad. Gillingham won't be easy, especially with their counter-attacking prowess, but I believe in our ability to maintain our unbeaten run, particularly with Crowley, Jones and McGoldrick in such stellar form.

  18. It's fantastic news that McDonald and Ness are on their way back from injury. Maynard’s focus on both attacking and defensive cohesion has been evident this season, especially with the solid performances from players like Bedeau and Macari. It’s clear the pre-season work has paid dividends. Also, great to see the fans playing their part every game, creating that vital 12th man effect.

  19. What an extraordinary match! The way we turned things around after being 2-0 down in the first six minutes was nothing short of spectacular. Jodi Jones' penalty was crucial, and you could see it lifted the entire team. With Jones, Crowley, and Jatta pulling the strings, our attack looked phenomenal. Special kudos to Alex Bass for his key saves; he was a rock between the sticks. This level of performance from returning players shows how important squad depth is. If we can maintain this form, we're in for an exciting season. Hats off to Stuart Maynard for instilling such belief and resilience in the players.

  20. Sven-Göran Eriksson's contribution to Notts County is a chapter of the club's history that is as memorable as it is significant. His leadership and vision brought remarkable success, propelling the club to new heights. Overseeing Notts County to win the League Two Championship was a testament to his exceptional skills. But beyond the victories, it was Eriksson’s character that left a lasting impression. Waiving his payoff to assist in the club’s transition showed his respect and commitment. This Saturday’s tribute serves not just as a moment of reflection but a celebration of a man who truly made a difference. His legacy will continue to inspire for years to come.
