    I thought we handled the game well yesterday, especially given how competitive Wimbledon were in the first half. We looked solid at the back, which is something that’s really improved this season. A few shaky moments, but on the whole, our defence kept them at bay and gave us a platform to nick a goal. It’s always good to see the team fighting for every ball, even when the game isn’t going in our favour. We’re showing more resilience now, and wins like this can be crucial come the end of the season. Every point counts, especially in such a tough league.

    What I’m loving about this season is the fight and resilience. We don’t let setbacks define us, whether it’s conceding an early goal or being down late in the game. Stuart Maynard has really got the team believing they can get something out of any match. Today, Chesterfield were dangerous, but we held our own, and David McGoldrick stepping up like that, even after missing the penalty, was massive. That kind of mentality is what’s going to push us up the table. Plus, George Abbott’s performance at wing-back was outstanding. His ability to adapt to different positions gives us so much tactical flexibility. It’s clear the lads are buying into Maynard’s vision, and that’s exciting for the rest of the season.

    Really enjoyed reading this interview with Abbott. His take on the game against Chesterfield is spot on, it’s a different kind of match altogether. The fact that he’s only 19 and taking all these challenges in stride says a lot. Playing wide right was new for him, but he managed to make a real impact. That assist was top-notch, and you can tell he’s got a sharp football mind. We’re in good hands with him in the squad, and I hope we get to see him score soon!

    Maynard’s first half tactics were spot on yesterday. The defensive resilience shown by the team was commendable, especially at a ground as challenging as Brunton Park. Jatta’s goal was a testament to the hard work they put in during training. And Robertson, coming back from injury, added a significant boost to our midfield. The way the team silenced the home crowd in the first half and then maintained the pressure in the second half speaks volumes about their grit and determination. Moreover, the travelling fans were a massive help; they truly were the 12th man. It was a well-earned victory, and I’m excited to see how they build on this performance in the coming games.

    Bedeau’s attitude is exactly what we need. He recognises the importance of facing his former club but keeps the focus on getting the result for Notts. I like how he speaks about staying switched on during possession, that’s something we’ve struggled with at times, especially against teams like Gillingham where we had all the ball but still came away with nothing. His experience at Morecambe in League One will definitely help us this season, and his calmness under pressure could be key in tight games. Really glad we signed him.

    What an extraordinary match! The way we turned things around after being 2-0 down in the first six minutes was nothing short of spectacular. Jodi Jones' penalty was crucial, and you could see it lifted the entire team. With Jones, Crowley, and Jatta pulling the strings, our attack looked phenomenal. Special kudos to Alex Bass for his key saves; he was a rock between the sticks. This level of performance from returning players shows how important squad depth is.     Many think Bromley might make it difficult, with their pitch not being the best. I do wonder if Notts will be able to play their usual game or need to revert to something more in the air. I think our strongest squad has what it takes. It’s good to know we have Jatta, Crowley, and Jones all back.

    I think Manchester City will get away with most of the charges. I can see the Premier League thinking it’s a win to get them on one or a few rather than all of them. Which makes you wonder why charge them at all? I don’t have much confidence it will be handled fairly.

    It’s great news that Jodi Jones is settled and has signed a new deal. It gives Notts a lot more than just a bit extra on his transfer fee. We need to keep in mind that some teams might not offer a fee that reflects what Notts would want due to his injury history. However, if we can progress and offer him new deals as we do, I think he’ll be far more inclined to stay put.
