  1. Hello, welcome to this great site and community. I hope to see you around PON, @Emma Duffield.
  2. Hello, welcome to this great site and community. I hope to see you around PON, @Jeff johno.
  3. Jodi Jones is showing how mature he is. It’s easy to get distracted by offers and interest. That desire and ambition can really turn your head. But what I have taken from reading this is that Jodi is focused on where he is now and how he can help Notts to the next level. The contract is all positive, a sign of commitment, but his words show even more signs of that.
  4. It's concerning to hear about Cedwyn Scott's limping, and I hope it's nothing serious. As some have pointed out, he's been played out of position, which might be impacting his performance. It's also important to remember that he's still recovering from a previous injury. Let's hope for his quick recovery and a successful return to the pitch, possibly in his preferred role as a striker.
  5. It's fantastic to see the growing attendances at Meadow Lane, reflecting the positive impact of the Reedtz brothers' leadership. The club's progress is indeed commendable, and the continued growth in support is a testament to this. It's great to dream of higher divisions, but let's also remember the unique charm of the close-knit community we once had. Here's to hoping for a successful season, a good FA Cup run, and sustained growth in attendance, regardless of the outcome.
  6. Tom Reed’s article in Terrace Edition is a fantastic read. It beautifully captures the essence of Notts County, blending tradition with modernism. The creation of “The Nest” is a brilliant initiative, enhancing fan culture and engagement. The club’s commitment to the local community and its data-driven approach to player success are commendable. The description of the KOP stand’s unique atmosphere adds to the charm. Tom has done an excellent job highlighting the club’s values and vision.
  7. I will be awaiting news on Friday to see who Sky Sports has named as the winner. I am hoping that Jodi Jones does well, but how many times will they choose him before they feel it’s too many times? Will there be a story for them after? I hope it is chosen on merit. Good luck, Jodi.
  8. Sven-Göran Eriksson's contribution to Notts County is a chapter of the club's history that is as memorable as it is significant. His leadership and vision brought remarkable success, propelling the club to new heights. Overseeing Notts County to win the League Two Championship was a testament to his exceptional skills. But beyond the victories, it was Eriksson’s character that left a lasting impression. Waiving his payoff to assist in the club’s transition showed his respect and commitment. This Saturday’s tribute serves not just as a moment of reflection but a celebration of a man who truly made a difference. His legacy will continue to inspire for years to come.
  9. Enjoyed reading about Macari’s reflections on his time with Notts County. Switching from Stoke City must have been a significant change, but it’s evident he’s adapting well. His focus on defensive stability is exactly what we need, especially after last season’s issues with clean sheets. His comments on wanting to contribute more and play every game show his passion and dedication. It’s also interesting to note how he reminisces about the hectic nature of his transfer last year. Macari’s journey highlights his resilience and commitment to becoming the best player he can be. Excited to see him in action this season!
  10. Football Radar will hire people from within football and from outside. They will both make the transition back and forth. But it's good to see a young man get his dream job at the club he supports.
  11. It's very unfortunate that he has been ruled out for another season. It might be worth him seeing a specialist to find out why this keeps happening and if there is anything that can be done. It might be that he can't play football without the risk of injury. That would be sad.
  12. Dan Crowley gets my vote. I think he does everything we need from a midfielder. He has been creative going forward and a real threat. But at the back, he has intercepted the ball many times and worked hard all over the pitch. Jodi Jones has been brilliant. I think he will get a lot of votes.
  13. Jodi Jones definitely deserved this award. If he continues to impress for us this season, we might see him win it again. Surely this would be a record for a Notts player?
  14. Sven has received many touching tributes from Notts and the world over. I have seen many from our own fans, and that is very touching. I send my condolences to his family and friends.
  15. I am waiting to see what Lucas Ness is like. I think we are much stronger defensively. Given time, the defenders should be able to form a good partnership, no matter who plays what role. It will be good to see Ness play for Notts.
  16. Wishing you a hearty welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @Medz59. Everyone here does make you feel welcome and encourage you to share your thoughts.
  17. Welcome to the PoN site @Andystarscream. It's good to see people welcoming new members, it does make you feel a part of the community.
  18. This story is getting boring. The media and people on social media are making it unbearable. He has been fired. We will get more information, but it's not a big story without all the facts.
  19. It's a sad day for football. His legacy is bigger than his short time at Notts. That time shows how much people thought of Sven-Goran Eriksson. He was more than just the Director of Football. He was publicity and attracted a lot of interest. This made the club feel much bigger than a League Two team. I can still remember the letter Notts sent me. It had a picture of Sven welcoming me to Meadow Lane before the new season.
  20. It fills me with pride to see the vast number of season tickets Notts has managed to sell. We are a club that values family, and witnessing the ticket sales rise year after year is a reward in itself. It’s a testament to the strong bond and unwavering support within our community.
  21. Nick's honesty and passion shine through in his interview. Leaving a club as close to his heart as Crawley Town must have been difficult, but his excitement for the new opportunities at Notts County is evident. I admire how he balances his respect for his old club with his enthusiasm for the new one. It’s great to see a player who’s not just skilled but also thoughtful and genuine. I believe Nick will be a fantastic addition to Notts County, bringing with him not just talent, but also a fantastic attitude.
  22. I'm very excited about Nick Tsaroulla’s addition to our team. His dual capability as both an attacker and defender, combined with his experience in League Two, makes him an ideal fit for our squad. Plus, his personality seems fantastic, as mentioned by Richard Montague. He’ll surely be an asset in both gameplay and team spirit.
  23. I’m really hopeful with Alex Bass’s addition to Notts County's squad. His remarks about striving for promotion and his steady presence in goal are motivating. His background with AFC Wimbledon brings seasoned experience, and that's something Notts County can certainly benefit from. It's also commendable how he’s keen to integrate into Nottingham and form strong relationships with his teammates and the coaching staff. The new season looks promising with Bass safeguarding our net.
  24. This is spot on, Chris. I will start following the areas of the site and I hope it remarkably streamlines my experience. Being part of the conversation right when it happens is terrific, always fresh, always engaging. Secondly, the grouped email notifications should help to avoid the clutter in my inbox and yet keeps me connected. I reckon others should give it a try, customizing the settings is dead simple, and it’s made me feel more a part of our community than ever before.
  25. It’s positive how he fits into our system here, due to his similar style at Wealdstone. However, it will be a significant step up for him and his assistant. I appreciate the optimistic outlook, as this should support Stuart Maynard. I hope fans won’t prematurely call for his dismissal before he gets a real chance to build momentum. I’d say we should give him at least half of his contract. I’ll back him and Notts in every match, but I’m worried that some people might not be satisfied and could try to ruin it for everyone.
