  1. The absence of Matt Palmer will be keenly felt, which is why we could have benefited from someone like Frank Vincent or Regan Booty. We need capable individuals who can step in and provide adequate cover. I’m confident that someone else will rise to the occasion, so I’m not overly concerned. I hope that Palmer will make a strong comeback, unaffected by his injuries.
  2. He appeared to be a competent player when he put his mind to it, with his goal against Liverpool being his sole standout moment. He seemed to be one of those young players who believed that his past achievements held more weight than his current performance.
  3. It’s good to see the content being produced once again, a task that undoubtedly requires significant effort, which I greatly value. I extend my best wishes for your success in securing member support and donations. Rest assured, I am more than willing to contribute to the site occasionally.

  5. Hello and welcome to the Site @Samuel Morris! We’re thrilled to have you here.
  6. Job well done by the Magpies; although it wasn't smooth sailing, their grit paid off. Success like this fuels self-belief and sets a strong precedent for future matches. Congratulations to Aden Baldwin for his candid admission and emphasis on doing what needed to be done.
  7. Reading McGoldrick's statements here just reaffirms my faith in this squad. He acknowledges the defeat without downplaying the disappointment, but he undeterredly ploughs ahead, showing determination and grit. We need more players with such an infectious passion for the game, it's elements like these that truly bind a club together. As for the fans, it's heartwarming to see McGoldrick's appreciation, this will certainly reinforce the strong bond between the players and the fans.
  8. Encapsulating Notts County's journey through 5000 Football League matches evokes a palpable sense of pride for every supporter. Every landmark game recounts a different chapter of our history. As we gear up for the Gillingham match, it's a moment to admire how far we've come and anticipate the distances we'll go.
  9. The interview was superb, but it’s embarrassing that a non-football related issue had to be raised during the press conference. I hope this marks the end of it because we need to move forward and put it behind us. Luke Williams is known for defending his players; he’s a commendable individual.
  10. The situation appears grim. I’ve heard whispers that their chairman has been expressing indifference towards the club’s fate. It’s all rather disheartening.
  11. Freddie Sears, although a highly skilled player and a valuable addition to his new club, seems to be somewhat injury-prone at this juncture of his career.
  12. The direction things are taking suggests that Notts must adhere to the standards set by Luke Williams. It’s a lengthy season with inevitable challenging matches, and there will be teams against which we might have expected better results. However, we will also gain points unexpectedly. The key for Notts is to remain among the leading pack, which at this point would signify a successful season in my view.
  13. I’m not implying that this will necessarily happen, but a robust recruitment policy can sometimes make it more tempting to look elsewhere rather than nurturing and providing opportunities to young players. I’m confident that if Notts remains steadfast, we’ll eventually see several home-grown players in the squad. However, I believe that until we reach the Championship, assuming we do, that’s when the young players will have more opportunities. Likely, league teams will assist with their development while they’re on loan. Notts simply needs to maintain a forward-thinking approach and, as with the academy, ensure nothing diverts the focus even when there are staffing changes. Nurture them, provide opportunities, and who knows what the future holds?
  14. This is the approach I would suggest Notts adopt for the majority of their away games, albeit with a slightly less conservative style while still maintaining control of the ball. In midfield, we possess the capability to retain possession and cause frustration for the opposing team. I was thoroughly impressed with Notts' performance, as they showcased some delightful passing sequences throughout the match.
  15. I have no doubt that our lads will do us proud. I can see the game being similar to the Accrington Stanley home game, with us taking the lead, only for them to pull level. In the second half, I expect to see a much stronger performance from our team. If we turn on our best football, I think they would struggle because we are the real deal when it comes to passing football. The issue is, they may revert to hoofing the ball, and I’m not sure if we’ll be able to settle it down and play the way we prefer. Our team has shown time and time again that they are capable of playing beautiful, flowing football. When we’re on form, it’s a joy to watch. However, teams like Accrington Stanley can disrupt our rhythm by resorting to long balls and physical play. It’s up to us to rise above that and impose our style of play on the game. If we can do that, I have no doubt that we’ll come away with a positive result.

  19. It was a magical day for Notts today. They made some mistakes, but they did well to recover from them. Securing the win to go top, it feels like an incredible achievement. Macaulay Langstaff was impressive in the pre-warm up. He looked in fiery form and put that into practice on the pitch. No player played poorly, it was a superb team performance. Well done to the lads! They deserve to celebrate this victory.
  20. Hello, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @Gary Adamson. Pop by and let us know something about yourself.
  21. Hello, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @Andrew Edwards. I have enjoyed my time here so far.
  22. I'm impressed by Rawlinson's modesty despite his match-winning contribution. It shows the professionalism and team spirit within the squad. Exciting times ahead for Notts!
  23. I am interested in what the starting line-up will be. I would like to see Aaron Nemane back in the starting 11. Other than that, I don't see the need to change much from the Doncaster Rovers game. Just play with direction and a good level of intensity, take what chances come and use the crowd to gain confidence. If we frustrate them, their fans might get on their backs.
  24. Mike Dean has destroyed any respect that anyone should have for him. If he were still officiating, this would be a career killer. Just because he has retired, it does not mean that he should not face any consequences.
  25. Macaulay Langstaff bouncing back with a brace is classic, you can't keep a good striker quiet for long! Looking to see him continue this form in the next game against Tranmere Rovers.
