Celebrating with the fans at the end summed up the day perfectly. You could see how much it meant to the players to finally get that clean sheet, and the supporters responded. Meadow Lane really does feel like a fortress when the fans are behind the team like that. What I liked about Jacob Bedeau’s comments was how he recognised the importance of everyone sticking together. The run of four unbeaten shows the benefits of keeping calm when results weren’t going our way. It’s easy to lose focus after late goals like Barrow, but instead the squad has grown stronger. Now, with a big squad and healthy competition, it feels like we’re starting to turn the corner.
-
The frustration is clear, but it’s also important to remember the positives. Dennis bagging two goals shows he’s finding real consistency, which we’ve been crying out for. Palmer put in another strong showing too, breaking up play and creating the second goal with his set-piece. The late equaliser was unlucky, and sometimes you can’t plan for those deflections. Bromley’s style made it scrappy, with constant fouls breaking up our rhythm. We dealt with most of it but lacked the killer touch for a third goal. If we keep playing with this intent, results will follow. It’s still early days and plenty of time to build momentum.
-
Really liked the balance in midfield yesterday with Matt Palmer sitting deeper. It gave Ollie Norburn and Tom Iorpenda more licence to push forward and they caused problems all game. Shrewsbury couldn’t cope with Jodi pace in the first half, and once Nick Tsaroulla scored just after the break it felt like the result was sealed.
-
Reading this actually makes me more confident than worried. It’s easy to panic when you lose a friendly but if we’re honest, testing the squad against higher-level German sides is perfect preparation. Paterson clearly wants us pressing high and playing aggressive football but knows it won’t work unless the squad’s super fit. That’s what pre-season is for. He’s spot on, mistakes now mean fixes before the real games. Also like how he says he won’t beat the lads with a stick. Hard but fair. Let’s see what Kaiserslautern brings.
-
Love the fact that Platt isn’t getting ahead of himself and talking about the title already. Too many teams fall into that trap and lose focus. He’s right, there’s still loads of football to play, and all we can do is take it game by game. The most impressive thing about this run is how solid we’ve looked at the back.
For years we’ve relied on outscoring opponents, but this season we look like a proper, balanced team. Port Vale is a big test, but I have faith in this squad. If we can keep picking up clean sheets and grind out results when we need to, there’s no reason we can’t be in the promotion picture at the end of the season.
-
Notts are in such a strong position now. Maynard deserves credit for keeping the squad motivated and competitive, even when we’ve had injuries. You can tell the confidence is sky-high, and players are stepping up when needed. Keeping so many clean sheets is no fluke, it shows how disciplined and committed we are. The key now is keeping players fit because every game from here on is massive. Losing Jones and McGoldrick, even for a short time, could make things tricky.
-
Tsaroulla has been a brilliant signing, and you could tell that goal meant a lot to him. His movement off the ball has been excellent, and he fully deserved his moment. I also love his attitude, he’s not just talking about his goal but the team’s defensive improvements and how much the fans push them on. That’s the mentality we need if we’re going to stay in the promotion race.
-
I love the mentality Bedeau talks about, taking it one game at a time. We’ve seen how tight League Two can be, and it’s all about consistency. The fact that he and the squad are so focused on the defensive side of things is really encouraging. Last year, we’d have struggled to see out games, but now we’re managing them much better. The home form is massive too, and he’s right, Meadow Lane is a tough place for teams to come. If we can keep making it a fortress, those points will add up quickly. Really impressed with how we’re shaping up, and it’s great to see the players enjoying their football.
-
Jack Hinchy’s first goal was a huge moment, not just for him but for the team. His awareness and confidence to take the shot, even after missing earlier in the game, say a lot about his mindset. It’s good to see young players working hard on their craft and seeing results on the pitch. Hopefully, this boosts his confidence, and he keeps adding goals to his game!
-
Hearing Maynard talk about the FA Cup made me nostalgic for some of our classic games. It’s a special competition, and every fan dreams of drawing a Premier League giant. However, Peterborough United is a big challenge.
Their pace could be a real problem if we’re not careful. I appreciate how realistic Maynard is about our strengths and weaknesses. The updates on players like Jodi Jones are encouraging, but I hope we don’t rush anyone back too soon. Here’s hoping for a strong performance and a place in the third round!
-
I think we all saw the first half was below our usual standard, but the important thing is that the team didn’t collapse. Maynard’s changes, especially bringing Brown on, were spot on. We started to create more chances and, in the second half, it felt like we were more in control. McGoldrick showed nerves of steel with that penalty. Taking three in a row can’t be easy, especially when keepers are doing their homework, but he delivered again. Tsaroulla was excellent on the left, and it’s great to see we can rely on different players in tough moments. A good point on the road and now onto Harrogate!
-
It wasn’t the prettiest game, but I agree with Maynard, sometimes you’ve got to win ugly. AFC Wimbledon didn’t make it easy for us to play our usual game, but the lads showed real determination. The clean sheet is massive for us, especially given how tight the game was. Maynard’s comments about set-pieces being crucial were spot on. Craig’s work with the team really paid off today with Platt’s goal. Bassi was solid as ever at the back, keeping us calm under pressure. We’ll need to keep up this kind of defensive resilience for the rest of the season if we want to stay near the top of the table.
-
It was a tough game to watch at times, especially in the first half where we didn’t create many chances. But what I loved was how Matty and the backline kept things tight and stayed composed. Platt’s goal was the turning point, and I think it just shows how much he’s growing into his role. The fact that we kept the clean sheet as well just makes this win even more satisfying.
-
It’s been a long wait for McDonald to get back to full fitness, but I’m excited to see him make his league debut. His experience is exactly what our defence needs, especially after some tough matches recently. The fact that he’s had the support of the gaffer and teammates is brilliant too, just shows how strong the unity is within the squad. His presence on the field will bring us that calm and stability we’ve needed at times. Let’s hope he can help us keep a clean sheet against AFC Wimbledon. It’s not going to be an easy game, but I’m optimistic with him in the team.
-
Can’t fault the lads for effort, but sometimes we lack that clinical edge to put games to bed. Chesterfield was always going to be a tough match, but we actually looked the better side for much of it. We had the chances and probably deserved at least a draw, but football doesn’t always work that way. It’s games like these where we miss someone who can just break through and score with half a chance. The fans were brilliant, and I’m sure the players appreciated that. Let’s take this as a lesson and move on to the next one.

Despite the loss, I’m encouraged by the players’ resilience. Our defence did well to limit further damage after the initial goal. The lack of goals is worrying, given our attacking talent, and it's critical we address this quickly. Maynard’s faith in the team is clear, but the team needs to reward that trust by executing more decisively on the pitch. Injuries are a part of the sport, but the frequency has been unfortunate. The lads adjusting and showing grit in games like this bodes well for our future challenges. Chesterfield is an opportunity to showcase that fighting spirit and turn outcomes in our favour.
-
I’m feeling confident, but Port Vale’s unbeaten run can’t be overlooked. Their midfield looks strong, and Garrity’s leadership will be crucial for them. That said, if we can control the game from the middle with Crowley pulling the strings and Jatta up top, we’ll have a solid chance. The lads showed resilience against Carlisle, and I think that spirit will carry us through. Set pieces will be key for both teams, so we’ve got to stay sharp defensively, especially with their threat from Stockley. A tough match ahead, but it’s one we can definitely win if we stay disciplined.
-
Another tough match, but Notts showed their mettle once again. Conceding so early was unfortunate, putting us on the back foot from the start. However, the team's response was remarkable, demonstrating strong mental fortitude. Maynard’s halftime adjustments seemed to make the difference as the second half was significantly better. Sam Austin's cross for Platt’s goal was superb, a real moment of quality. It’s clear the team has areas to improve, particularly in creating and finishing chances. Excited about Josh Martin’s debut; he could provide the spark we need. Here’s hoping for fewer injuries and more points in the coming games.
-
I think the key will be staying solid at the back. Bedeau has been a rock for us, and his leadership could really make a difference in a game like this. With McDonald potentially returning, we should be able to handle Morecambe’s attack, especially since they’ve struggled to score recently. However, we need to take our chances when they come, especially early on. Crowley’s creativity could be the spark we need to unlock their defence, and I’m hoping Josh Martin can make an impact if he gets a run out. Morecambe will try to make it difficult, but if we stay composed, I fancy us to come away with the win.
-
Jacob Bedeau's professionalism shines through in his latest interview. His respect for Morecambe despite their struggles and his focus on Notts County's goals show he's a class act. It’s great to see players who genuinely appreciate their journey and use their experiences to fuel their current ambitions. At Notts, he’s not just fitting in; he’s thriving. His positive comments about our playing style and the team’s potential are exciting. Looking forward to seeing how he tackles the match against his former club this weekend. Matches like these are always special, and I’m sure Jacob will rise to the occasion. Come on, Notts!
-
Maynard’s balanced and thoughtful approach is exactly what we need following the Gillingham match. His recognition that we played well despite the loss shows a lot of maturity. Morecambe’s style indeed poses a unique challenge, and it wouldn’t be wise to underestimate them despite their position.
Our team’s high performance levels must continue, and this game is a perfect opportunity to showcase our resilience. It’s a tough break not having Jatta, but following concussion protocols is paramount. Also, giving younger players like Muir a chance demonstrates our depth and future potential. The match at Morecambe might be testing, but I believe in our squad’s strength and ability to secure a win.
-
It’s moments like this that make football so special. A 15-year-old debuting for Notts County and becoming the youngest player in the club’s history – what an achievement for Kameron Muir! It’s clear the lad has a great head on his shoulders, especially with how he handled himself after the match. His journey from grassroots to the first team in such a short space of time shows what dedication and hard work can do. I’m especially impressed with how grounded he seems. He’s not letting the occasion overwhelm him, which is vital if he’s to fulfil his potential. I think he’s going to be a key player for us in the future.
-
Dan Crowley's form has been nothing short of inspirational. He has genuinely stepped up this season, both in terms of performance and leadership. His acknowledgment of last season’s disappointment shows maturity, and the way the squad has bounced back is impressive.
The added points about how new players have quickly adapted highlights not just the talent of the individuals but also the collective effort from the coaching staff. Crowley’s dedication to Notts amidst transfer speculations speaks volumes about his commitment and love for the club. It’s this kind of dedication and unity that can carry a team through tough fixtures and onto greater achievements.

What I like most about Matt Dennis is how he looks beyond the goals. You can tell he’s driven, but he keeps saying the wins are what matter most. That attitude is rare and it sets the right tone for the squad. The award for Player of the Month is deserved, but it’s good to hear him say it’s just a bonus. Against Gillingham, we’ll need him at his best, because they’re strong defensively and don’t give away many chances. With Alassana Jatta now fit, there’s also more balance in our attack, which means defenders can’t just focus on Dennis. It feels like a big moment for us, and he’s the player to watch.
