I think there are five or six strong contenders, and a few of them really stood out by giving their best to the team.

I’m surprised Tyrese Hall hasn’t had more votes. He looked the most dangerous going forward and helped set up Nick Tsaroulla’s goal. It was his effort that ended up with Tom Iorpenda.

Hall was very impressive and I’m backing him for the performance he gave.

It is good to see what he is doing now. The video does not show much of the actual work, but it still gives a useful glimpse into what he is involved in. Best of luck to him.

I think most of the squad will be fine, but key signings across all positions will be needed for Notts to settle as a League One side. The defence will be the main area that needs attention, but the base will likely be a mix of the current regular starters and new additions. I do not want to single out any players as being the ones to step up, as I believe many of them can, but it will depend a lot on the new signings to tidy things up.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out and whether the new owner is successful. If he is, and it does not distract from how the club performs in the league, then it could be worth the effort. It is not a small amount of money involved.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what the club is most likely to talk about apart from the departure of the Director of Football and the reasons behind the recruitment? What other topics could come up? The Q and A might be the most useful part, as the owners may only highlight the improvements around the ground and away from it, such as the training ground. I will not be putting my name forward to attend, but it should still spark some good discussions.

I don’t always think it’s best for managers to make the signings themselves. Even when the Trews owned Notts, I felt a good director of football could have helped bring more stability and given better advice on recruitment. With the Reedtz brothers, we’re lucky to have access to proper football data, and it’s helped us bring in players from outside the UK. I don’t think a director of football should make every decision, but when it comes to finding players and giving the head coach more time to focus on the team, it’s a smart move.

I didn’t expect Rod McDonald to be doing better than players who looked nailed-on starters. The partnership of Jacob Bedeau and Matty Platt seemed strong, but even before Platt’s injury, McDonald was showing he added something extra to the back three. It’s a good thing for the squad. Even if he ends up playing less, I’m sure he’ll take any chance he gets. Right now, it’s hard to leave him out of the starting eleven.

The Reedtz brothers have done far more than any owner before them. The squad is more consistent, and now it’s just about working hard to get the results we need for promotion.

The club keeps looking at the data and learning from it, and I trust that process. I don’t want Notts to change how we play or how we recruit just for the sake of it. Things have been better in this era, and we should only make changes that help us improve.

I agree it depends on who we’re playing and where that extra attacking player fits best. I don’t always think sticking with three defenders suits us, and the debate about one or two strikers feels similar. I don’t get why no head coach is willing to pick a formation that gives us the best chance to win. I know we’re built around this system, but it really depends on the opposition and how we use our strengths.

Depth wins leagues, and Notts have to prove they can build depth again. The squad looks top heavy and thin in goal and forward positions. We need two reliable strikers and a keeper who can steady games, not just save shots. Loans are fine as top ups, but we cannot rely on them. The club should protect homegrown talent and bring in players who fit the Notts model, not just players with a big name. Communication matters too; fans want honest updates about targets and timelines. If the January window brings a couple of solid signings and some departing players leave on sensible terms, we may see real progress. The goal remains promotion, and we should stay focused on that.

The Lifeline initiative continues to impress with how it’s shaping the future of Notts County. Investing in the high-performance gym is a remarkable step forward, bringing facilities up to higher standards. This is exactly the sort of foundation we need to build upon if we’re going to remain competitive in the league. It shows the club’s commitment to not just present success, but long-term development, both for the players' fitness and the supporters’ matchday experience.

This milestone goes beyond numbers. Notts joined Port Vale as the only clubs to beat all 91 league opponents across four tiers. That is rare and speaks to the club's plan, its depth, and the level of consistency required. It shows how far the club has come since the dark days and how solid our recruitment, fitness, and game management are. The players deserve credit for rising to the challenge in different competitions.

The supporters deserve a nod too for backing the team through tough spells and celebrating the wins with respect. This is the moment to build from, not rest on it.

As the old saying goes, whatever will be, will be. It’s not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Still, I find it odd that a club would want to keep a friendly game private. It’s only a kickabout, not a top-secret mission. Who do they think they are, MI5 or the Met Police FC?

I’m not sure where Harry Griffiths fits into the team right now. He looks like he needs a loan to get some proper game time and experience. The problem is, our level might not be quite right for his development. At 20, he really should be playing regularly or at least starting to.

Maybe Notts are thinking about sending him out to an Irish club. That could give him the minutes he needs without dropping too far in quality.

I have to be honest, I didn’t know about this before now. I also don’t know much about Dick Edwards. He made 245 appearances and started his football career with Notts County.

If we had played him more as a striker, we might have kept him. He clearly felt lost when Macaulay Langstaff left, and when living away from family, having good friends like that is important.

I wish he had stayed, but we let him focus on his health and what was best for him. Not all clubs would do that.

I haven’t been to the cinema for a while, but I do watch films on streaming services when they’re released. I prefer watching them at home. The only time a cinema is worth it is when a great horror film comes out, though these are rare these days.

Very poor start.

Germany’s first two goals gave them the lead and made them look stronger. England looked bright on the ball, even early on, and turning the result around was impressive. It’s a great comeback, but they need to defend better.

Great achievement for both players. They had a strong partnership while David McGoldrick was here. Both thrived on the understanding they shared, and McGoldrick’s experience really brought out the best in Alassana Jatta.

Paul Hart and Mick Halsall couldn’t get the academy to produce players, so we can only hope. Hart wasn’t back long enough to make a real impact, but Halsall was a great youth coach. I hope Nimesh Patel can help.
