  1. This is a test of the Notts owner's commitment to promotion this season. I think they'll pick the chance of promotion before profit, I hope I'm not wrong.
  2. League Two Friday 24/01/25 Newport County v Swindon Town kick off 19:45
  3. Premier league fixtures for Saturday & Sunday 25/26/02/25 Saturday Bournemouth v Nottm Forest (15:00) Brighton v Everton (15:00) Liverpool v Ipswich (15:00) Southampton v Newcastle (15:00) Wolves v Arsenal (15:00) Man City v Chelsea (17:30) Sunday Crystal Palace v Brentford (14:00) Tottenham v Leicester City (14:00) Aston Villa v West Ham (16:30) Fulham v Manchester United (19:00)
  4. An away day for Notts County Women as they are scheduled to meet Lincoln United on Sunday 26/01/25 at 2pm.
  5. Will be interesting to see the team that Stuart will pick for the game against Bromley. I wouldn't make any changes from the Accrington win. Keeping a winning side has to be a good thing, but I would prefer Jodi starting instead of Grant. My team would be. Bass, McDonald, Platt, Bedeau Austin, Abbott, Palmer, Tsaroulla, Jones, McGoldrick, Jatta. Subs, Grant, Slocombe, Johnson, Whitaker, Jarvis, Hinchy, Cisse I would still contemplate putting Jodi in the number 10 role, & the three new players would still be on the bench. It's important to have a very strong team & bench.
  6. Bristol C 1-1 Blackburn Cardiff City 1 - 2 Derby County Exeter City 1 0 Blackpool Leyton Orient 2 - 2 Reading Chesterfield 2 - 2 Port Vale Tranmere Rovers 1 - 0 Gillingham Aldershot 2 - 1 Tamworth AFC Fylde 1 - 2 Wealdstone🤡
  7. Allowing Scott, & Martin to leave, knowing that there could be offers coming in for Jatta, might come back to bite the Club. I hope this isn't the case.
  8. Good move by Notts. The assistant head coach role will be taken by first team coach, Joao Alves.
  9. This is a thread to chart the progress of phoenix Clubs that grew out of Clubs that went out of business for whatever reason. Nice to see phoenix club Nuneaton Town FC, formally Nuneaton Borough, doing well & on their way back this season. Following the withdrawal of Nuneaton Borough FC from the Southern League in January 2024, Boro fans (through the Supporters Co-Operative) and sponsors came together to create the club. They are currently leading their Division, Midlands Football League Div 1, which is step 10 of the football league pyramid in England. 10. Are Companies checked for money laundering risks in the UK? "Yes, companies in the UK are checked for money laundering risks, with regulations requiring businesses to perform "Customer Due Diligence" (CDD) checks, which involve verifying customer identities and assessing potential risks of money laundering activities, particularly for businesses dealing with high-value transactions or cash-intensive operations; this is overseen by HMRC who can conduct inspections to ensure compliance with Money Laundering Regulations". Key points about money laundering checks for UK companies: CDD checks: "Essential part of anti-money laundering compliance, involving background checks and verifying customer identities to mitigate money laundering risks". Risk assessment: "Companies need to assess their own money laundering risks and implement appropriate controls based on their business activities". Suspicious Activity Reporting: "Businesses must report any suspicious transactions to the National Crime Agency". Regulatory body: "HMRC is responsible for enforcing money laundering regulations and can conduct inspections on businesses". Via Google.
  11. If Notts get promoted the value of Jatta would probably go up two fold. Good business sense would be to wait till Notts have been promoted, then sell him to the highest bidder if they have to.
  12. No matter what the outcome the Club will survive even if it becomes a phoenix Club.
  13. I really don't want to see Notts become a feeder Club for clubs higher up in the pyramid. When your club is just a few points away from second place, with a settled side that is playing well, I cannot contemplate that the club would consider selling arguably their most important player, who could be so valuable to the club during the second half of the season. Let's keep our best players to give the club the best chance of achieving promotion this year. Once promotion is achieved, then it will be time to buy and sell to be able to compete in League 1.
  14. Stuart Maynard talking about the transfer speculation about Alassana Jatta. BBC Radio Nottingham - Matchday, "You've got to look at the owners, they've done an incredible job" - Stuart Maynard WWW.BBC.CO.UK The Notts County head coach, amidst speculation surrounding Alassana Jatta. I don't think that Stuart has squashed any nerves here on whether Jatta could stay or leave.
  15. @Fan of Big Tone I'm waiting for the dreaded phone call regarding state of play. It's always 50/50 whether there is work to be done.
