  7. @BiggestPieInGlasgow I agree with you over having an independent football regulator. My only concern would be to ensure that it is truely independent, & won't be influenced by special interests & big money. And as you say, points deductions don't help either. All it does is punish the fans. I hope that Dumbarton can survive in their present form & won't become a phoenix club. I did a thread a few months back describing the sad demise in 1968 of Glasgow's Third club, Third Lanark. They never really came back, but there is an amateur club with that name still playing.
  8. @BiggestPieInGlasgow Just wondered what people thought in Scotland about the crowdfunding to help Dumbarton. Personally I think it is a good thing but I have seen some dissenters on social media. I wonder if a solution would be for more 50%+1 fan owned clubs is the answer? Crowd funding can only be a temporary measure.
  9. Notts County Women meet Solihull who are currently in the bottom two. They have lost their last five league games, but must not be underestimated by Notts today Notts need to be at their best by being strong at the back & take their chances when they present themselves. This is a great opportunity for the Notts women to get their sixth league win of the season.
  10. Great article & very informative. An article such as this is one of the hidden gems on PON.
  11. Your Sunday Afternoon Weather
  12. Clean sheet is always good. At least Notts get a point every time.
  13. Back to a drab rainy day this morning . A little windy but looks like we've missed the worse of Storm Bert. Pleased that Notts got a clean sheet even though they couldn't score even though they had plenty of opportunity. If Notts keep a clean sheet they are not going to lose in a league match. Then it only needs one goal to win. A good defence is a prerequisite to have a successful promotion push. If the defence remains strong, there is every chance of having a successful season.
  14. Guardiola sack and Walker, Gundogan retire after Kulusevski, Spurs embarrass the champions WWW.FOOTBALL365.COM Of course Spurs followed defeat to Ipswich by thrashing champions Man...
  15. @BiggestPieInGlasgow that's a nice reply thanks. Seems a reasonable plan you have there. It seems to be a good idea to exclude the old firm from the Scottish Cup. It would give other clubs a chance to qualify for Europe. I'm sure in the early rounds the old firm field weakened teams anyway just like they do in England. I've always advocated that the top four English PL clubs, sometimes five, that qualify for the Champions league should be excluded from the following year's FA Cup.
  16. This is a record Pep won't like having.
