I think that Morecambe have to have a lot of credit for executing their game plan perfectly on the day. They got the early goal then just frustrated Notts, broke up the play & tried to protect their lead & then hit on the break. Their physically really bothered Notts, but to Notts's credit they kept plugging away & the Notts defence stood firm after the early concession. In the second half Stuart's substitutions gave Notts extra impetuous & a touch of class from Crowley with a great pass got Austin in behind them & Platt scored a poachers goal. Notts are made of sterner stuff this season & a defender scoring for them, then in the dying minutes a points saving clearance off the line by Didzy, demonstrates the character of this team to never give up. Notts weren't at their best, but they still managed to get a positive result against a team that played very well, considering their league position.

The Notts team to face Halifax.

Martin was brought in to play as a winger or as a central striker in case of an absence through injury. Jodi is expected to be out until the beginning of January, NOT the whole season. It's time to be positive, NOT negative. We have enough quality players to continue the promotion challenge. Players who were injured are also on their way back. Stuart is not under any pressure. This time last season, Williams Notts team had let in double the number of goals that Stuart's team has conceded at the same stage this season. So Notts have improved under Stuart, & the squad is much stronger too.

Notts play Halifax Town Women in the FA Women's National League Plate first round at the Millennium Stadium Feather stone at 2pm Halifax play in the FAWNL Premier Div North which is a step up from the FAWNL Division 1 Midlands that Notts play in. It will be a tough game for Notts but they can go into the game with confidence due to their excellent recent form, winning their last two away games. CMON U PIES!

@Wheelbarrow repair man I know your concerns may reflect many Notts supporters & I'm concerned too about Jodi. I can understand the Notts silence because they don't want to give their opponents a heads up either which is the right thing to do. Two tough games in a few days, Morecambe & Carlisle. It is best to keep mum about injuries till after those games, to keep opponents guessing. I'm sure Notts will say something once they know more about the extent of the injury.
