  1. Matty Platt is part of a defensive unit that has made such a difference to Notts this season. His contribution to this improvement has been immense. And I believe our defensive team can only get better as the season progresses. The improvement in Notts defensive game gives them a real chance of getting promotion if they can keep up the good form they have been showing.
  2. The ladies played very well today and were unfortunately to lose the game to a late goal. They definitely deserved a point, however they can take encouragement from these excellent performances as they prepare for the next match.
  3. The Poll is now closed. Thank you to all who have voted. I am pleased to announce that by popular choice, Alex Bass has been chosen as Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match for his performance against Wimbledon.
  4. League table after today's matches. Notts in 5th place.
  5. Notts player of the match goes to:- Millie Qaintance.
  6. I know it won't probably happen but if Man City are guilty of most charges they are accused of & Pep has already committed himself to the club. What if the club get lots of points deducted or even get relegated out of the PL, will he stay with City getting a transfer ban & losing most of their team due to FFP rules? That would be a big test I think.
  7. Notts are made of much stronger stuff this season when it comes to competing with the opposition, showing grit, & playing ugly when the need arises. It's a big change from last year in no many ways. The team is now unrecognisable from the team that kept conceding goals like it was no tomorrow. A strong defence is the number prerequisite to be able to challenge for promotion & I think Notts have that defence that they need now with more players like McDonald & Ness to come in if necessary. Games like the one against Wimbledon, they would have lost last season. But we have to give credit for Maynard's substitutions too that changed the game for Notts in that second half.
  8. It ends with a narrow defeat, but the Notts ladies should feel proud that they ran Leafield so close and deserved a point on the play and effort they put in. Leafield have now won 5 on the bounce and have not conceded a goal in that time. They are a top side in this league The Notts Ladies are getting closer to these top sides.

  15. Another good defensive performance by Notts in the first half, & they had a few chances late in the half too. CMON U PIES!!
  16. Update Notts 0 Leafield 0. 40 mins gone Both defences standing firm at the moment. Chances at a premium at both ends. Update.
  17. Update. Notts 0 Leafield 0. 29 mins gone. Update. 33’ Notts break through down the left, but their tame effort is safely gathered by the Leafield goalie.
