Notts up to fourth place after today's matches.

@BiggestPieInGlasgow It is sad to see. But I am surprised that a rich potential owner hasn't come in to own teams like Hibernian & Heart of Midlothian who are based in the Capital. Surely teams like those two, plus Aberdeen & the Dundee clubs have potential for growth?

My Notts player shortlist for Man of the Match against Newport is as follows:- Ness, Macari, Palmer, McGoldrick,Platt,Tsaroulla, Abbott,Jatta,Bass.

A point is better than a defeat. Notts also have another clean sheet. Notts dominated the game from start to finish, & were unfortunate not to get a few goals. Notts created plenty of chances but just couldn't put them away today. Are we missing our flair players such as Crowley & Jones? Of course we are but the players that we had on the pitch worked their socks off to get a result. Again, if this was last season, Notts would probably have lost this match with such a leaky defence. Onwards we go to the next match which will be Peterborough away, in the FA Cup. That gives more time to get Crowley & Robertson nearer to match fitness for the next league match against Walsall on 3rd Dec.

Full Time. Stallard: "You've got to give Newport credit, the defended manfully. Ultimately frustration is the watchword for Notts today, it feels like two points dropped

Update

Back to it.

Update. Half Time. We are missing Crowley & Jones who can open up defences with either an incisive passing or a pin point cross. Stallard: "The pitch has played well... I wouldn't say either team has.Too many misplaced passes.Newport will be the happier of the two to go in at half-time at 0-0"

Update. Update.

Update. Plenty of possession for Notts. The usual problem of breaking a team down who are employing the same tactics as any other team that visits ML. Notts 0 Newport 0. 24 mins. Update.

Update. Didzy has had a header from a corner & a shot from outside the penalty area, both just missed. Notts 0 Newport 0. 11 mins.

Underway at Meadow Lane. Update.

Good afternoon. It's been raining all morning here. All the lying snow in the back garden has gone. The wind is getting up somewhat. Hopefully it won't be too bad. Doesn't look like we are going to get any snow as forecast yesterday, here. Will be tuning into the Radio for the match today. CMON U PIES
