  1. Notts have made a good start & in their first 10 league matches they have won 5 & lost only 2. Unfortunately, Notts have played 3 of the top teams but have lost two of them & drawn 1. That is just 1 point from those three matches. Four of their wins came against teams currently in the bottom 6. Last season, Notts had a poor record against the top 7 sides only gaining 19 points from a possible 60. This season Notts know that they will need to take more points from these top of the league tussles to either get into the playoffs or better still get automatic promotion. Notts will be meeting Doncaster & Walsall soon who are in the top 7 presently, & Notts will be hoping for a positive result against those two. Can Notts reverse this trend of poor results against the top teams in league 2? I think they can but they need to counter the way that teams are playing against them, especially at home, & Notts need to be more unpredictable in the way they play too. Notts County may have to wait for Doncaster Rovers and Walsall to address recent issue: View FOOTBALLLEAGUEWORLD.CO.UK Notts County's defeat to Port Vale on Saturday continued the Magpies' poor run of...
  2. I was posting a new topic & wrote quite a lot and got that message. Think I've lost what I wrote.
  3. We have a tie breaker Nick Tsaroulla takes the lead????
  4. @liampie I've tipped Cisse & Reynolds to be on the bench on Saturday. They both played well on Tuesday.
  5. Good Morning all, it's been a lovely morning here with unbroken skies throughout the morning, although it is now starting to cloud over. Looks like we had rain again overnight & the ground remains sodden.

  9. This match will be tough but Notts have shown some good form away from home since the start of the season and remain unbeaten. I think the difference between home & away is that teams tend to be more adventurous against Notts at their place, & this gives the Notts midfield & forwards more room to create clear cut chances. Stuart had some more encouraging news on Tuesday evening when Ness & particularly McDonald, played very well against Northampton. I see McDonald coming into the starting 11 at some point, maybe even at Chesterfield. I'd expect him to replace Macari if he did start Hopefully, the news about Didzy will be positive, & he will be available on Saturday, so if players are fit my team would be. Bass, McDonald, Platt, Bedeau, Gordon, Tsaroulla, Palmer, Jatta Robertson, Abbott, & Crowley Subs, Slocombe, Macari, Hinchy, Austin, McGoldrick, Cisse, Reynolds. I would be happy with a draw but I think Notts can steal a win here Final score 2:1 Notts or 1:1.
  10. I've extended the poll to 9pm on the 10th to give everyone a chance to vote
  11. Another great transformation under Stuart is that he is not afraid to give the Notts Academy youngsters an opportunity to shine. There were 10 Academy players in the squad against Northampton with 3 in the first 11, & there were 6 youngsters in the team all at once towards the end of the game I don't think it will be long before we see a few of them get on the bench for a league game.

  14. Good afternoon. It was raining first thing this morning but it seems to have brightened up somewhat. The rain has stopped & it looks like we will get so bright intervals this afternoon Did some tidying up in the garden yesterday while there was a break in the rain. Managed to pull plenty of weeds out the ground. I also took down a small tree. The roots came out quite easily with the wet ground.
  15. The match was a good work out for those returning from injury, the squad players & our academy players. The first goal could have been easily avoided. Another distribution error from Slocombe, his pass putting a Notts player under pressure from the opposition press, then Notts quickly losing possession high up the field. We have seen that countless times last season with Slocombe. It does concern me if Bass becomes injured & Slocombe is the only alternative. And the second goal conceded, I think Bass might have saved it. We didn't have a goalkeeper on the subs bench. That was a little concerning. Would have thought Bass would have been on the bench.
  16. Don't forget. Poll closes at 9pm tonight. Please get your vote in.
