  1. Your Tuesday Morning Weather
  2. @Wheelbarrow repair man I don't expect that Burton will field a strong first starting eleven either. Notts have six players down injured, so Notts cannot afford any more from this game. To be honest, teams should just play the B side with just a few first teamers wanting match time.
  3. This video is one for the ages. Macca the goal machine.
  4. A pitch to rival the best pitches in the Premier League.
  5. This was a match where Notts showed lots of character to come back from two goals down.
  6. He's going to be a very good acquisition for Notts this season.
  7. The goal by Austin that was deemed offside after a long delay, looked perfectly ok to me.
  8. I also remember the Football League Centenary Tournament in 1988 to celebrate the centenary of the football league. The tournament was won by Brian Clough's Forest.
  9. Plenty of rain around today.
  10. I can give you three Cup competitions in one that have become no more. The Full Members' Cup was a cup competition held in English football from 1985/92. It was also known under its sponsored names of the Simod Cup from 1987/89 and the Zenith Data Systems Cup from 1989/92. The advent of the PL basically killed it. PS. Don't forget Mansfield was included in the County Cup.
  11. I've been many times to different dentists for treatment during my adult life & the receptionist & staff always tend to ask: How are you, or How are you today?
  12. I love to hear Mark Stallard's analysis. He is so good at picking through the Notts performance post match. I think he is absolutely correct with his analysis. Notts didn't play poorly in this game, they didn't play to their best, but any other day they could have easily won this match It was unfortunate that the chances didn't fall to Didzy, Crowley or Jones otherwise I'm sure they would have buried those chances. I won't dwell on the goal ruled out for offside & the penalty that wasn't given, but another day & another Ref things may have been different. There are positives to take too. The Notts defence was solid again, Bedeau showed that he will be a big player for Notts this season. And Notts did create plenty of chances against a side that will be up there at the season's end. Onwards we go to Morecambe next Saturday.
  13. For the trophy match against Burton & think that we will see many changes to the Notts starting 11 on Tuesday. I may be wrong but Jatta won't feature because Stuart will want to give him every chance to recover from his recent head injury. I think Brown will start upfront with Austin supporting from midfield. Reynolds may get his first start too, with Palmer & Hinchy in central midfield We may well see Cundy in central defence with Macari & Bedeau. Slocombe in goal, Chicksen at left wing back, Gordon on the right. I forsee a strong bench with McGoldrick, Platt, Crowley, Abbott, Grant, Bass, & Sanderson all available to come on if required. It would be nice to get something out of this game, but Stuart will be thinking more about next Saturday, & ensuring that there are no more injuries.
  14. @Chris Are you talking about the 1994 film starring Nicholas Cage? I haven't seen the film myself, but I think it's a Xmas Comedy movie. I'll check it out.
  15. @liampie I'm sure @Wheelbarrow repair man will have his 10 penny worth on this video.????
  16. @liampie The ITV sevice was called Oracle launched in 1974, replaced by Ceefax in 1993.
  17. As far as Harry Kane is concerned he's a footballing icon, & we should enjoy his footballing talent while we can. I think Southgate asked too much of him for England. Kane is at his best upfront, but Southgate expected him to be all over the pitch. Kane is at his best in the opposition half, and even more getting good service in the penalty area. Hopefully, with a new manager this will happen.
  18. @liampie I wonder if there will be a pre Burton interview later this afternoon? There may be a question asked about Jodi.
  19. Unsettled and colder weather expected for the week ahead.
  20. It was a great innovation when it came onto our television screens. Used to check it out almost every day, but haven't used it for over 20 years or more. Is it still available? Thought it had been discontinued.
