Is There A Danger?
Excellent article @Wheelbarrow repair man It's already having an effect on the England team. We've seen the British style of play in our league structure disappearing before our eyes during the last 25 years We've discussed the advent of the continental style of play into our game, and I for one would like to see a move back to the British style. The big influence of foreign coaches and players has seen the takeover of the continental style, which needs to be reversed in my opinion. We won the World Cup by employing our own style of play and if it could work then, it could work now. As you know I would like to have a cap on foreign players in the Premier League so that home players get much more game time in our top league. I know that some will say that the League would be devalued by having a cap, but I disagree. Lots of home players are stuck in the lower leagues because there is a more stringent cap on foreign players there, but the standard of play in the lower leagues is good. We won most of our European Cups UEFA Cups & Cup winners Cups by playing the British style, so mixing up each style could be successful for England. Academies are teaching young players how to play the continental short passing game, nowadays, so I don't think there will ever be a cap introduced & unfortunately the British style will disappear completely over time.

Nick Tsaroulla Joins Our Ranks on a Two-Year Deal
Nick has lots of talent and he appears to be very a good all round wing back. He is another fantastic signing for Notts and our defensive unit is coming together nicely. I don't think Nick has come to Notts to be a squad player. He will want to play for the first eleven, so the competition for first eleven places will be electric. It also poses a question where Nemane or Jodi may play. Those two could always play as attacking midfielders, so the recruitment is giving Maynard plenty of options. Can't wait for the new season to begin

thoughts on how the notts team is developing?
Four Quality players in this transfer window, and I'm sure that Notts haven't finished yet The squad they are putting together looks awesome on paper. We needed some depth to our squad and Notts are really looking to ensure we will have quality coming off the bench next season. Of course they have to gel together as a team and I'm sure they will be all working hard on the training field and the first few friendly games for that to happen. What we do know is that there will be a very competitive fight for first eleven places next season.

Euro 24 Watch (Group Stage)
Albania get a deserved equaliser in injury time due to their great play in the first half. Another very good entertaining game in Euro 24. Final score. Croatia 2 Albania 2

Another incoming from Crawley
Again, what a signing again by Notts, they are really doing their stuff. Notts have a wingback who can play on both flanks, & is quite good in defence too. Will we see another right footed centre back and defensive midfielder come in? I really do hope so because another two players in those positions would complete an absolutely awesome transfer window for Notts. Even with the three we've recruited, I'm very happy this afternoon.

Euro 24 Watch (Group Stage)
After incessant pressure for all of the second half, Croatia get their equaliser, then within a couple of minutes, get the lead, by way of a very unfortunate own goal by Albania. Croatia 2 Albania 1: 76 min

Euro 24 Watch (Group Stage)
Half time Croatia 0 Albania 1 Albania are well worth their lead & they could have had two further goals on the break, where they are very dangerous. Croatia are having most of the play but are having difficulty breaking Albania down.

Alex Bass Energised by Notts County Move Amid Ambitions for Success
Alex Bass is the quality goalkeeper that we needed and I'm over the moon that he has signed for us. All three players who have signed for us wanted to come here because they were attracted by the way Notts play and the quality players that we have in the team. They were also attracted to Notts because they acknowledged that Notts are a big club and they wanted to be part of the possibility of future success. Things are really looking up for Notts for next season and I for one, can't wait for the season to get started.

- Fact of the day : England's national team, East Midlands wastelands
We know why there is no East Midlands players in the England squad. Unless a player plays for the big six or plays for an established PL club they have no chance of getting picked by Southgate. And some of these players in the squad play abroad for big foreign Clubs. Morgan Gibbs-White was touted to be close to an England call but he will have to move from Forest to a bigger club, then he might will be noticed by Southgate. Some of the players picked for England don't even play 38 games because they are used as squad players for their Clubs. Personally I would like to see a cap on foreign players in a PL squad to a maximum of 8 & no more than 5 foreign players in a team at any one time. This would help give home players the opportunity to get more experience of first team football, which in turn would help the national side too.- Jokers Wild: Joke Of The Day.
