I went to the England Scotland match with my Uncle and Cousin in June 1977. England lost 1:2 to Scotland that day. 90% of the stadium was full of Scotland fans. This match was famous for the Scots fans invading the pitch and breaking the crossbars. We didn't see that happen because we left as soon as the match ended. At that time there wasn't any segregation of sorts so we had Scots fans all around us. I must say though it was a friendly atmosphere during the game, until the end of course. The home internationals were big in their day, but would I bring them back, probably not. The FA would reject to it for a start and also reject the home internationals coming back on behalf of the Premier League too.

Final score Spain 3 Croatia 0 Croatia missed a penalty in the second half. Spain won comfortably but for once not convincing in defence at times. And Croatia had the majority of the play which is unusual for Spain.

Some strong opinions on this thread with a difference of opinion over Gareth Southgate. I think we have to accept that in the present FA set up and those they have at the top of that organisation, we are always going to have an England Manager who is more of a diplomat than a Football Manager. I know I have mentioned him before but I will bring up Brian Clough again because in my opinion he is the best England Manager they never had. The FA would never appoint a Manager with a similar strong personality to Clough in a million years. For me, the only ones appointed that were a little tiny bit toward that Clough type personality & skill was Big Sam and Venables and they both left before they should have done, I wonder way?

I'm very happy how the Notts team is developing, with two good defenders brought in, the defence is looking much more solid already. Pleased that it appears that we are not going to lose the big 3. That is big for Notts promotion chances. I believe we need a right footed wing back to give Nemane competition, another right footed central defender, an experienced league 2 goalkeeper in his late 20s and a tenacious defensive midfielder. If Notts take my advice I think we will have a squad to challenge for automatic promotion.

@upthepies I agree, they need to get the price balance right they could finish up with empty tables but most of the customers standing. If there is an admission charge, surely it should on a first come first served situation regarding the tables.
