I think that Maynard has shown that he is a good leader & Head Coach. York City are challenging for automatic promotion in the NL. They are on course to exceed 100 points this season with already accumulating 86 points with 9 matches remaining. They have the best goal scoring record 97, than any team in the NL & the 2nd best defensive record conceding less than a goal a game. To say that Maynard can't organise and Motivate a team isn't correct in my opinion. Stuart is possibly on the way to exceeding Luke's points and goalscoring totals & we thought Luke was a legend here at Notts.

I think it was inevitable that his job would be on the line after winning only one match in the last sixteen. Problem for Northampton they are four points from safety with 10 matches left. A new manager will find it very difficult to save them from relegation at this stage in the season

Top of Table after Tuesday 10th March matches. Notts up to fourth place, eight points ahead of the team in eighth place. MK Dons won, & Salford won. 1. Bromley. 36 played: 70 points 2. The Poll has closed. Thanks to all who voted. I'm pleased to announce by popular choice, Ollie Norburn had been voted the Pride of Nottingham's Man of the Match v Walsall.

Like @Chris I thought that Stuart Maynard should have been given more time, & I was somewhat unconvinced when Martin was appointed, but I do believe now he was the type of Head Coach along with his personality that Notts needed to take them to the next level. Notts were a good Footballing side under Maynard & Stuart did improve our defence, but his Notts side were bullied out of games on many occasions, & I think that Martin has changed that. Notts are no longer the soft touch that they were. Another big change is Notts being able to win ugly when it's required. Martin has brought a togetherness to the squad where they work hard for each other & never stop running. One of the most important changes that Martin has done is his ability to make changes to the side during a game when it's needed. I thought Stuart tended to make substitutions not to change the game but just to rest players. I don't think the squad is any stronger on paper than it was last season, but it's stronger because the players are playing stronger together as a team, a team of togetherness & I think that's down to how Martin Paterson.leads & installs belief in them.

Martin has a few players to choose from for the number 10 role. I think that his selection will be made depending on what type of footballing side we are facing, whether they be a ball playing side or a direct playing one that are very physical for example.

@Chris I did a little research & Notts are 6 points in front of where they were last season at the same stage. Notts scored 14 points from their last 11 matches, so Notts are in a better position points wise & form wise, so there is hope we can improve on last season's points total.

Eleven games left. 5 home, 6 away. 3 consecutive sway games against Oldham, Harrogate & Salford will be massive. None of the eleven games left will be easy. Every one, a cup final. 82 points might be enough. 6 wins from 11 matches. Win our home games & one away. 14-03-26. Notts v Chesterfield 17-03-26. Accrington v Notts 21-03-26. Notts v Cheltenham 24-03-26. Oldham v Notts 28-03-26. Harrogate v Notts 03-04-26. Salford v Notts 06-04-26. Notts v Newport 11-04-26. Cambridge v Notts 18-04-26. Notts v Barnet 25-04-26. Colchester v Notts 02-05-26. Notts v Bristol R

During Martin's interview after the Walsall match he reported that Scott Robertson picked up an injury in training & that was the reason for his absence. It could be a knee injury. He's having tests and scans to ascertain the extent of the injury. Will Hinchy be recalled again from his new loan spell to give cover? We'll have to see. No news on when Jatta is likely to return. Martin didn't want to discuss it. Palmer failed a fitness test before the Walsall match.

I have to agree with @Piethagoram & choose Norburn for his two moments of quality that went a long way in getting Notts the win. Those two moments of quality could have easily been witnessed in a PL match.
