  8. Final score tonight. Lincoln Utd 0 Notts County Women 5. Goals from Knott, Hardy, Barnes Matthews & Russell.A great away win for the ladies.
  9. Notts Women visit Lincoln United in a National League game tonight, kick off 19:45. Here is the Notts team for tonight's game CMON U PIES!
  10. In league 2 things can change for clubs so quickly. We saw last season how Walsall lost their mojo after a blistering start. Hopefully lightening won't strike twice for them this season but you never know.
  11. Luke is one of those football managers who has lots of personality & someone who will be able to have a great relationship with the fans. Expectations will be high that he can turn things around & I'm sure he will give everyone a boost at the club. I will check on the Posh to see how they are doing after their matches.
  12. Chance for Mark to work for a top side in Scotland, who may get some silverware this season. It's an opportunity not to turn down. I wish him lots of luck in his new position. Of course it's only an interim position but the experience will serve him well.
  13. Managed to get outside to make some repairs to the garden gate. All sorted then completed some weeding at the front of the house. The lawn is still growing after the latest cut so it looks like we will be cutting the lawn again next week. Temperatures look like they might get up to 16 deg on Friday. Well above the average for the year.
  14. I hope Martin does play a strong side @gtownjohnno but I do have a feeling that he may play some of his bench players first thing with his best players on the bench just in case. Of course I might be totally wrong, but we do seem to be in the age of resting players for Cup matches. There again, the Notts 2nd string should be good enough to win the game in the first half, all things being equal.
  15. Brackley Town are currently 17th in the National League Table having failed to win in 11 games out of a total of 15 played so far. They have lost 4 of their last 5 matches, so their form isn't great going into this match with Notts. But as we all know, current form stands for nothing in a FA Cup match. Brackley will have the motivation to cause a Cup upset in front of the TV cameras. Notts will have to be on their guard & not underestimate Brackley. Notts are due a decent Cup run & on paper Brackley is the ideal side where Notts can put in a decent performance & move closer to the 3rd Round & the hope of a money spinning lucrative tie against a big club. But they need to get through this match first. I would choose a strong side with a mix of first team & squad players, with some first 11 players on the bench to come on later if needed. So my side to meet Brackley would be :- Griffiths, Macari, Ness, Aljofree, Kouhyar, Palmer, Norburn, Jarvis, Grant, Hall, Dennis, Subs :- Roos, Bedeau, Robertson, Iorpenda, Tsaroula, Jones, Jatta. Bennetts, Cotter (5 from 9 subs in Cup matches) I'm hoping for a good performance from Notts. The starting 11 should be good enough to win comfortably, but having a strong bench is a good back up to have just in case. My score Brackley 0 Notts 3.
  16. Notts travel to St James Park Brackley to meet the National League side in the FA Cup 1st Round on Saturday.. Can Notts have a good cup run this season. What are your thoughts on the match. Which players would be in your Notts side. What would be your final score?

  22. Quiet day in today. Haven't been feeling too well, Just watched a couple of films: Live free or Die hard, & Star Trek The Wath of Khan. I must admit I am a Trekkie & a Bruce Willis fan
  23. I wish him well, but it's going to be a hard task for him to save Peterborough. Personally I think he's made a mistake but time will tell.
