Notts have had a poor recent record against Cambridge. They have failed to win in their last nine league meetings against United. Notts last league win came on 27th Nov 2004 at ML when they beat Cambridge 2:1. Both teams come into this fixture in good form, so it should be a competitive encounter on Saturday. Cambridge are a possession based team that is flexible with it's attacking style. They employ a high press & are not afraid to go direct when necessary. Notts will have to be on their guard once again against Cambridge's high press when building from the back. I'm sure we will see Cambridge employ similar tactics to other away sides at ML, but of late Notts have been better at countering those tactics. I think Martin Paterson will choose a similar side with the emphasis of being consistent, by playing the same starting eleven as we saw against Swindon, with the exception of Iorpenda coming in for Grant. Notts will be keen to reverse the recent poor record against their opponents, & if they play at their best, I think they can get the win. Notts just need to be alert to prevent & deal with crosses when they come in, & when playing out from the back at all times. My score 3:1 Notts.

Good Morning all. Watch out for Storm Benjamin today. It is expected to affect the East Midlands with strong blustery winds & rain. We had plans to go into the garden today, but it looks like we could be getting a cold spell at the weekend once Storm Benjamin has passed, which could finish our remaining flowers off.

It's been a busy day for us both today with lots of work clearing away the dead flowers for the winter. Some of the flowers are still going strong for now so we left them in a few pots until it's time to clear them out I must say it's been a great year for all of our annual flowers we purchased in the spring. Hopefully it will be a similar story next year Kudos to Mrs P who did most of the heavy work due to the fact that I can't do any heavy lifting at present. There's more work to do tomorrow to tidy things up before the winter sets in.

Another good performance from Rod against Swindon. He's becoming Mr Consistency. Matty Platt will have to work hard to get on the bench near mind the starting eleven. Martin Paterson won't mind that at all.
