Good morning and happy Sunday, it’s going to be a busy day for us, we’ve got to get our cases packed ready to go on our cruise, tomorrow we travel down to Sounthampton to stay in a hotel for the night before our embarkation on Tuesday morning. We got posh clothes to pack including my Tuxedo and Mrs. T’s long evening dresses, there are two formal nights on this cruise so we’ll need our posh clothes for them. Then there’s all our short, t shirts etc., for when we reach the warm weather in the Canaries. Thankfully on cruises you can take as much luggage as you want so no weight problems like on planes. Must dash lots to do. TTFN.

I totally agree, I think he definitely deserves another contract he is one of our own and waived a good contract at Derby to come home to Notts, he’s done a fantastic job for us and is a real asset to the club whether he’s playing or not.

Good morning it’s a lovely sunny start although cold at only 3 degrees. Tonight we are staying in a hotel in Buxton with our family and having a meal in a local restaurant as an early celebration for our 50th (Golden) Wedding Anniversary, on the actual day we’ll be on our cruise so we wanted to celebrate early with the family. I think it’s a bad sign when the manager, or assistant manager in this case, starts to criticise the players publicly, it doesn’t actual sound if there’s much togetherness when that happens, I don’t mind them being honest and saying it was an awful performance but I’d rather hear them say “we are in this together, we all take responsibility and together we’ll work hard to put it right”, or words to that effect. If the manager throws the players under the bus they aren’t going to want to play for him, they are in danger of losing the dressing room in my opinion.

Just read that again there a lot of use of the word “manage” 😂

This will be a massive game in front of a bumper crowd both teams should be full of confidence, Chesterfield won 4-0 away last time out and will be cheered on by a no doubt vociferous following in the Sirrel stand, it’s the one match they really look forward to, I used to work in Chesterfield amongst Spireite fans and they'd talk of nothing else for weeks beforehand. If Notts play like we know they can we should be able to beat them. 🤞

If Stuart manages to manage the team to promotion it will be a massive achievement for him, I really hope he manages it, he works extremely hard and has done a fantastic job to say he was a BT engineer not that long ago.

We are so lucky to have George Abbott with us this season, I think he will be a star of the future.
