It’s been a bit cold today, we’ve had a walk to do some card deliveries locally, now relaxing at home. My no alcohol regime officially finishes today, I’ve not had a drink since 2nd December and been eating smaller portions which has helped me lose over half a stone. Tonight I’ll have a pint of Old Peculier before my curry and a glass of wine with it. I’ll soon put that weight back on over Christmas but it’s better than piling it on top of the weight I was at the beginning of the month.

So where is @Piethagoram’s waffle result, has he lost his streak and gone into hiding?

@Piethagoram that is a really long read but I found every word fascinating, I remember going in a Sam Smiths pub in Harrogate it was one of the best pints I’ve ever had. It’s fascinating to read how Humphrey runs his empire.

We’ve spent the day wrapping Christmas presents for the family, we don’t put the kids presents under the tree because they’ll just be poking at them, they are too old for Santa Clause but we’ll still hide them away until they are in bed Christmas Eve.

If he gets the job it’ll be interesting to see how he gets on.

Well it looks like I’m talking to myself on the weekly chat so have you had a nice day @Fan of Big Tone? Yes thanks it’s been good. What have you been up to? Well I went to see an old friend and took him a little present for Christmas. Come on you lot keep me company in here.

Hmm, interesting article but to be honest I’ve given up worrying about energy bills I just want to be comfortably warm so if I’m cold I turn the heating up, simple. I know I’m lucky enough to be able to afford it, I feel sorry for those that struggle to pay their bills and have to be cold. Well I’m a pensioner and I would know how to set it up if necessary, I don’t think we should bracket all pensioners as being technophobes or dim and need help. I do however agree that some will need help and hopefully they have younger relatives or friends who can help.

Me too @Piethagoram in fact I’ve bought some today, along with St, Augur a blue cheese and Port Salut, three of my favourites. All bad for me though, hopefully park runs help keep the cholesterol and fat down.

Well I don’t think you can call me a bandwagon fan, I started supporting Notts when they were in the old 4th division, I have to admit to being a bit of a fairweather fan these days in the sense that if the weather is wet or cold or both I’m less likely to go to watch Notts and would rather stay in the warmth of my living room either watching them on telly if they are on or listening to them on the radio, it’s an age thing with me.

Knowing our luck he’ll go to Mansfield.

I thought this was going to be a good news story for a cheese lover like me but after reading it seems I like all the wrong cheeses.
