  1. there is no major harm, we know paul is a fan and has the clubs best intensions, but its just disappointing because its really just fluff. if you say something without any real concrete evidence you are just picking up fans hopes and i dont think its needed. if its a playful thing, he just needs to be mindful how it looks. his creditability and reputation is not worth risking competing against those other supposedly in the know fans. i am quite certain that paul would not say something someone in confidence told him in his podcast, so i think it applies here but this is just my view.
  2. i think david mcgoldrick is the right choice, hes a leader in and out of the club and someone our players can draw inspiration from.
  3. it a shame we did not extend his stay, but i wish him well at newport county. i think if they give him the time he will prove to be a great signing.
  4. he will end up only playing for 'city' and 'county' teams. πŸ˜›
  5. i have a new found respect for george abbotts strength and ability to take a tackle. 😍
  6. welcome to the pride of nottingham, @padma. i hope to see you join in with our discussions and pon community.
  7. welcome to the pride of nottingham, @Scimitar76. i hope to see you join in with us on pon.
  8. welcome to the pride of nottingham, @Michael Bramley. you will enjoy the togetherness here, just share your thoughts and come back another point to see. repeat and you will be well away with the community here on pon.
  9. welcome to pon @The Cheshunt Pie. your nickname sounds almost like a good notts fan owned pub. i hope to see you around the site.
  10. welcome to the pride of nottingham, @Helen Measures.
  11. it could be anything, they might be moving into management themselves and used their move to notts to attract interest from clubs. they could have been at the wealdstone game scouting, maynard might have asked them to watch the game. they could have had a falling out, or own owners may believe they are not suitable for our level. there are many ways we could speculate on this, but until notts confirms any news i personally dont see the fuss.
  12. @Chris on the lightweight and dark version, if you enter a forum the width is not in full.
  13. it seems like awhile since we have been at meadow lane, bromley can make games difficult but i hope our momentum is enough to continue seeing the positive results. tho i do think its quite possible we might end up drawing this game.
  14. bit disappointing that speculation is aired like this, because it does nothing if it does not pay off and just because you hear something it does not mean you need to report on it. why? it feeds the vultures and false news merchants. do we have any other ex strikers in the championship?
  15. its good to know we will still have him, hes doing well and spurs should understand that his growth has been massive. so pleased that we have extended his loan deal, just have to follow up by securing him for next season now. 😁
  16. Coventry City 2-0 Bristol City Luton Town 1-1 Preston North End Crawley Town 0-1 Burton Albion Mansfield Town 1-3 Wycombe Wanderers Reading 2-1 Stockport County Grimsby Town 0-1 Chesterfield joker Swindon Town 0-0 Barrow Eastleigh 0-1 Altrincham Forest Green Rovers 3-1 Rochdale Halifax Town 0-0 Dagenham & Redbridge
  17. rest in peace, dennis law.
  18. @menzinho i think notts records all training sessions as part of their data analysis. notts did this exact type of video last season when we struggled, when stuart maynard first arrived. probably not as good as sky, but it is a good video.
  19. could man city be mocking the fa with this? a pr statement to say they dont care about their investigation and that they can do things like this. imagine if more clubs signed players for almost 10 years in one go.
  20. is he the guy that spent money on the stadium when he claimed he did not have it, but kept looking into ground improvements but never really did anything? i say spent money, i think the chairman i am thinking of skimmed it through false work.
  21. reformed 15 years ago, have a lot of history. reached the fifth tier of english football. doing quite respectful this season, scope to improve. i mean i get that they will be playing nearer clubs, but if it motivated by money it should be denied.
  22. it was a great bit of skill, a bit heavy on his touch but it worked out. nice to see haydn hollis doing well. i thought he was a decent defender, just a bit erratic.
  23. i like how the headlines have automatically jumped on this being a positive thing for wrexham and how it will help them gain promotion, when in fact nobody knows yet how it will impact wycombe. they have a good team, so a good appointment should see them be fine. good luck to matt bloomfield at luton.
  24. sounds all good to me. i dont get why people would join with temporary emails, but then i dont really understand why people join not to contribute. thanks for providing an update @Chris, i do think having a way to keep those who want to know in the loop in situations like sunday. i also get its not best to mention it on social media. i know pon is very transparent but that seems to only play in the hands of idiots.
  25. he sounds like a good addition but i would hope we can persist with finding him regular game time and stick to the plan if he does not find the net in his early days, once a player is settled it can make a difference. i am not against signing a young striker who will be given time, but if we end up playing him out of position or more as an impact sub then i dont know it would see him deliver what is needed. i am happy with the arrival, as i say its for us to make sure he fits in and can get the best out of him. it sounds like a very promising signing.
