  1. I’ve had periods where I wasn’t able to post as much due to other commitments in my life. I struggled with university and took my degree very seriously. I wasn’t always out partying and Leeds even paired me with a job. Hopefully, more members will come back when they have the time. We just need to keep doing what we’re doing, and more people should get involved. There’s no reason why we won’t see more members joining in. The boss is doing his best, as are we members!
  2. That’s looking great, boss! Real quality work.
  3. The game against Matlock might be played by the reserve team. I’m hoping that we’ll get to face another strong team at home. I’d prefer to avoid playing against lower-ranked teams, with the exception of Basford United. Their ground is usually a good place to play. @allardyces tash 2023-24 pre-season schedule Sat 8 July (3pm): Stoke City (H) Sat 15 July: TBC (H) Tue 18 July (7pm): AFC Telford (A) Sat 22 July (3pm): Boston United (A) Tue 25 July: TBC (A) Sat 29 July: TBC (A)

  6. Yes, I followed you yesterday. I’m not sure if you’ll be all that familiar with me, but I remember you! My name is Lewis and it’s great to follow you on Twitter and see you back.
  7. If we’re talking about the quality of the goal itself and not the build-up, then simply put, Castro, Taylor and Bostock all stand out. Those are exceptional goals. Personally, I think the best is John Bostock’s effort against Wrexham. This is just my opinion, but I don’t see anyone else being awarded Goal of the Season. Not a player who has left or played for us on loan, but someone the fans will get behind. I fully expect this to go to Macaulay Langstaff.
  8. With all due respect to @super_ram and his Derby County, I wouldn’t leave a newly-promoted team to join a side that has experienced as much difficulty as Derby has in recent years. I know Notts had been relegated when we first acquired Rubem Rodrigues and the situation is quite similar. The main point is that they have the ability to spend and, as a free agent, he’s likely to be easily disposable if they were to gain promotion to the Championship. I just feel that he would be regarded as nothing more than a temporary signing.
  9. Rest in peace, Who r ya!! You Pies!!. You were a legend on this forum and a great person. I will miss your posts and comments. My sympathies to your loved ones.
  10. Jodi Jones is an exceptional player with the ability to create and score goals out of thin air. He possesses a great deal of flair and creativity, and is capable of producing moments of magic on the pitch. During his loan spell, he was one of the best players in the league. The fact that he has now signed for Notts County permanently is a cause for great excitement.
  11. Great news for Notts County! Jodi Jones is a quality player who can make a difference in any game. He showed his talent and potential during his loan spell and I’m glad he’s staying with us for longer.
  12. Aaron Nemane has truly flourished since Cal Roberts' departure to Aberdeen. Interestingly, our team seems to have improved without Cal, and Nemane has demonstrated his impeccable abilities in the meantime. His speed and finesse with the ball are impressive, and watching him perform at his best is a genuinely thrilling experience.
  13. The decision to prevent a city centre celebration, in my opinion, was a missed opportunity. The celebration could have potentially boosted the local economy by generating income for the city's bars, pubs and food establishments. It's unfortunate that they didn't consider the positive impact that the celebration could have had on the community. Perhaps they underestimated the passion and enthusiasm of fans and underestimated the importance of communal celebration after a significant event. It's a shame, but there may still be opportunities for different types of celebrations in the future.
  14. Personally, I find the camaraderie and friendly banter between clubs quite enjoyable, so I don't particularly lean towards wishing any team harm or success. However, having them in the Premier League could certainly benefit Nottingham and possibly even Notts. In terms of potential talent to loan in, it's always worth keeping an eye on teams in higher divisions for potential players who could add value to our squad. All in all, a positive relationship between clubs brings more excitement to the sport and can ultimately benefit all involved.
  15. The IFollow platform isn't particularly bad when it comes to streaming, provided that you have a steady and reliable internet connection. In my experience, I have been able to stream games seamlessly using my mobile phone's data. Additionally, using a wired or Wi-Fi connection has shown significant improvements in the overall quality of the stream. Overall, a stable internet connection is a key factor in enjoying the streaming experience on IFollow without any disruptions.
  16. The area looks completely different now and I’m not sure if the changes are for the better. In my opinion, some of the older buildings were more attractive than many of the new ones. Judging from the picture, I can’t imagine people parking in town like they used to.
  17. I’m currently listening to it and I don’t usually pay much attention to what people say. They’re often just there for padding, but I noticed that David has chosen people who fans should be familiar with. I actually enjoy hearing from people who aren’t as well-known because they often provide better insights that aren’t generic or something you’ve heard before. So far, I think it’s very good.
  18. Jonathan Forte was a true professional who always gave 100% on the pitch. He was a dedicated and hardworking player who always put the needs of the team first. Forte’s time at Notts County was filled with plenty of good memories, as he consistently delivered top-notch performances and gave his all for the team. His dedication and commitment to the game were an inspiration to his teammates and fans alike. Forte was a true asset to the team and his contributions will never be forgotten
  19. Monday: I woke up early and got ready for work. I work for a media company in Manchester that owns two popular online sites and a magazine. The online sites produce content about celebrities, life, interest and general stories. The magazine focuses on health. I walked from my apartment to the office, which is a lot easier than commuting from Leeds to Sheffield, where I used to work before. At work, I had a meeting with my editor and some colleagues to discuss the upcoming articles and deadlines. I also did some research and wrote a draft for a story about the latest trends in fitness. Tuesday: I continued working on my story and interviewed some experts and influencers in the health industry. I also edited some photos and videos for the online sites. I had lunch with a friend who works at another media company nearby. We chatted about our projects and exchanged some tips and gossip. After work, I went to the gym and did a yoga class. I felt relaxed and energised. Wednesday: I finished my story and submitted it to my editor for review. I also helped out with some other tasks, such as updating the social media accounts and responding to some comments and messages from the readers. I had a coffee break with one of my co-workers who is also a good friend. We talked about our plans for the weekend and shared some jokes. After work, I went to a pub with some other friends and had a few drinks and snacks. Thursday: I got some feedback from my editor and made some revisions to my story. I also started working on a new story for the magazine, which is about the benefits of meditation. I contacted some sources and scheduled some interviews for the next day. I had lunch at a nice café near the office and enjoyed a delicious salad and a smoothie. After work, I went to a bookstore and browsed through some books and magazines. I bought a novel that looked interesting. Friday: I did the interviews for my new story and took some notes. I also wrote an outline and a summary for the article. I also checked the online sites and the magazine for any errors or updates. I had lunch with my editor and we discussed our progress and feedback. He praised me for my work and gave me some suggestions for improvement. After work, I went to a cinema with my friend and watched Guardians of the Galaxy Vol III. We had a great time. Saturday: I slept in and had a lazy morning. I made myself some pancakes and coffee and read the novel that I bought on Thursday. It was very engaging and entertaining. I also did some laundry and cleaned my apartment. In the afternoon. I also packed my bags and took a train from Manchester to Nottingham where my dad picked me up front the train station. Sunday: I woke up in my old bedroom, spoke to my parents, they were happy to see me, and we caught up about what's been happening. We had a family lunch together and caught up on each other's lives. My parents asked me about my work, my life, my friends and my health. They were proud of me and supportive of me. We also played some board games and watched some TV shows together. It was a nice day. I have re-packed my bags, I will be heading home after 6pm.
  20. I dreaded seeing Notts play in the National League. While I thought promotion would happen, there were points when I thought we would never get out of the league. At the very least, I thought we would be there for 6 or more years. However, I did believe that this season would be the year we escaped. The standard hasn't been bad at all. We have mastered playing good attacking football, albeit with a few wobbles. It's by far the best we've played since I have supported the club. Our 2008/09 squad on their day was brilliant, but we relied on the better players and didn't always play practically well. I don't think the managerial changes helped, but the club has made huge strides. The squad this season has done brilliantly and it's a high I don't think we will see for a while. We may have good seasons, but I don't foresee us hitting 107 points or scoring over 100 goals for some time.
  21. It was a good interview from Luke Williams. I thought he showed why the players respect him so highly by deflecting the praise on him and speaking calmly.
  22. I am at my parents' now. Every two weeks I come back to catch up with my family. In an hour's time, I will be tucking into one of the best Sunday dinners you can have. Full trimmings! Plenty of vegetables and proper Yorkshire puddings. We've been talking in the conservatory, looking at the back garden. My dad's pride and joy is the landscaping and peacefulness. At the bottom of the garden, tucked behind a great oak tree, he has his very own man cave with a full bar inside. He wants me to have a drink with him later before heading back to Manchester, but I don't drink alcohol.
  23. The Football League paper has been kind to Notts, much better than the Nottingham Post, which only cares about money and selling their paper without putting much effort into it. The National League paper is brilliant and I will continue to support it despite not being in the Non-League. I have contributed to it twice. They're very open and focus on putting out worthy reads.
  24. Welcome back, @Canadian. It’s good to have you back. See you around the site! I will look out for what you have to say. It’s nice to have an original member back.
  25. That's going to be fun when we reach it. It's very impressive. It's a shame we dropped out of the Football League because we could be one of the highest teams to play. Aren't Manchester United near the top?
