Definitely feels flat at the moment! Hardly building a promotion winning squad if we don’t replace Didzy or Bass. There’s time to add to the squad and let’s hope create some excitement for the fans. By now I’m usually looking forward to the start of the season, but not feeling it yet.

Really disappointed that we’ve sold him but not surprised after failing to get promoted. The timing of it isn’t great, and unless we start bringing in some quality players in the next few weeks, many of us are questioning how we are going to compete this season! It’s absolutely crucial we recruit a decent keeper whether it’s permanent or a season long loan deal.

He’s yet to convince me that he’s the man for the job. The squad is good enough to get promoted automatically so let’s see what he does going forward. Not a fan of the inverted wingers. In some of the games his substitution decisions were questionable. Failed to react to Walsall changes in the 2nd half of the game. He has managed to get some very good results especially away from home. I hope he continues to improve and gets us promoted.

I watched the first game and part of the second game. I much prefer to see Jodi playing on the left to get the best out of him. Platt and Bedeau looked strong. Happy with the new keeper Bass. Crowley was playing too deep but I understand with key players out SM has to try different options. Good to see McGoldrick on the score sheet. At this stage without key players fit and bringing in another couple of players, I’m not feeling that optimistic about our chances this season. SM still hasn’t convinced me that he’s the right man for the job!

Couldn't agree more. I love being a Notts fan and I've met some fantastic people in our community. This is the first season for a few years that I've not been able so far to attend the away games and I've really missed the atmosphere and enjoyment of these days out.

Poor defending. Hollis header was too short to Bart, both failed to deal with the situation. Still gutted at watching us lose when it should have been at least a point!

Same team that didn't put the effort in! To quote Shaun Derry..."I just feel a little let down with what I have seen."

Thanks for the report Joe. I think it would probably have been a better evening if Ray had been there in person and not via a link that didn't work properly. At least the forum enabled Notts fans to meet up and have a drink!
