Notts County put in another impressive display to claim a 2-1 win over Carlisle United in Saturday's League Two clash at Brunton Park. It looked like the Magpies' winning run would come to an end at Brunton Park when substitute Jabo Ibehre put the Cumbrians ahead and the clock began to tick over into the 80s. However, Jon Stead drew Notts level in the 85th minute before Matt Tootle struck a winner heading into injury time to make it four wins on the trot for Nolan's boys. Here areUpdated by Joe Jones

In a dramatic finish at Meadow Lane, Jodi Jones secured a last-gasp equaliser for Notts County, who drew 2-2 against Fleetwood. The visitors took the lead in the first half when Ryan Graydon headed in from a corner, and they doubled their advantage early in the second half through Brendan Wiredu, who calmly slotted home after being set up by Graydon. Notts County, however, refused to back down. Alassana Jatta halved the deficit just before the hour mark, converting Lewis Macariโs low cAdded by PON_News

So what does an old codger Rams fan make of Notts County's previous season and prospects for the next one? Well here goes, my honest thoughts on the team who are second in my affections. The 2012/13 season began promisingly enough with Notts even briefly claiming top spot in September and the only real disappointment being the league cup defeat by eventually to be promoted league 2 side Bradford City. Notts season began to fall apart in November with the surprising and shocking news thatUpdated by PON_News

Notts County will spend Christmas in the bottom two of League Two following their 4-0 hammering at Grimsby Town. The Mariners got off the mark after just over the three-minute mark, youngster Harry Clifton heading home on the rebound from Harry Cardwell's initial effort Notts then did enjoy a period of pressure but spurned their opportunities and before the break they fell further behind through Harry Davis, who rose highest to head home. On the day of the playoff final against Chesterfield, Notts County fans filled the stands at Wembley Stadium, singing songs and cheering on their team. Among them was Chris Buckley, owner of the independent fan site Pride of Nottingham, who captured the emotions of the fans in his Faces of PON fan gallery. The atmosphere was electric, with fans feeling a mix of excitement and nerves as they watched their team compete for victory. Hello and welcome to this midweek PONcast Extra, which will preview Notts County's crucial League Two home meeting with fellow strugglers Macclesfield Town. The Magpies are 23rd in the table while the Silkmen are bottom of the league, hence the importance of Neal Ardley's side getting a result against one-time (literally) County man Sol Campbell's side. In addition to the matchday 24 preview, the PON boys also reflect upon the recent match against Grimsby Town - not that you need reminUpdated by PON_News

Well, it's finally got to that stage. Notts County are bottom of the Football League. Macclesfield Town, managed by one-time Magpie Sol Campbell, put in a display that overshadowed the hosts at Meadow Lane and claimed a 2-1 win which saw them leapfrog Notts off the foot of League Two. Frankly, it's the same old story. An overall turgid display, the odd good moment following the equaliser where County looked as though they would go into the lead, only for shoddy defending to proveUpdated by PON_News

In this article I will try and show how football developed, slowly at first then suddenly took off in the second half of the 19th century as all the right conditions gradually came together and brought with it footballs first superstar. (Who could that be?) The first part shows how inventions and discoveries changed the lives of people living in the United Kingdom. The second part shows a timeline of events in footballs evolution. Notts County match day vlogger ARLukomski was there to capture the Magpiesโ triumphant return to the Football League at the playoff final at Wembley. After four years in exile, following their relegation from League Two in the 2018/19 season, the Magpies were back. The match was an emotional rollercoaster for both teams and their supporters. Notts County demonstrated remarkable tenacity as they twice came from behind against Chesterfield. However, it was Cedwyn Scott who ultimately emergedUpdated by Chris

Mark Hateley has spoken of how his father, Notts County legend Tony Hateley, was instrumental in immersing him in the world of football, and how the 56-year-old made sure to do the same with son Tom, now also a professional footballer. The Hateley dynasty of pro players stretches three generations, with Tony impressing at a number of clubs besides Notts, including Aston Villa and Liverpool, where he remains just as loved as he is at Meadow Lane. Notts County have successfully navigated the crunch clash with Luton Town last weekend, now we're back at Meadow Lane this weekend as we take on Grimsby Town. The Mariners have enjoyed a decent enough season so far, sitting 11th in the table with nine wins, five draws and seven defeats. Pride of Nottingham spoke to Grimsby fan Steve to get an insight on the opposition. Notts County have suffered another huge blow in their automatic promotion hopes as Cambridge United ran out 1-0 winners in their League Two clash at the Abbey Stadium. Medy Elito scored the winner for the hosts in the 30th minute to continue their good form since the departure of manager Shaun Derry with a third win in a row, while for Notts it's a fourth league defeat in 2018. Notts County put in a much-improved performance against Bury in a goalless draw that saw warm applause by the Black & White Army at full time. Neal Ardley had clearly talked some sense into his ailing players as they were bright from the off, with Rob Milsom going close with heading wide before rifling wide from just outside of the box, while Shaun Brisley also came close. The love triangle between Liam Noble, Notts County and Forest Green Rovers was a saga that lasted for a big chunk of the summer, with multiple failed bids and a war of words between the clubs' chairmen, and it appeared settled when the Nailsworth club tied their captain down to a new contract. But over the last week, it's emerged again and then exploded outright as Noble was ruled out through a medical issue, was released by mutual consent due to his desire to move closer to his family in tUpdated by Joe Jones

Notts County are preparing for the first home game of the 2017/18 League Two season, hosting local rivals Chesterfield at Meadow Lane on Saturday. The Magpies did not get off to a particularly good start, losing 3-0 at Coventry City last week, but a much-changed team put in an impressive display at Scunthorpe United in the League Cup on Tuesday, taking the League One side all the way to penalties at Glanford Park. We're just over a quarter of the season through and Notts County continue to sit nicely in the top three of League Two. However, alarm bells have started ringing ever so slightly as the Magpies have made a hash of their last two games, losing at Mansfield and scraping a draw with Forest Green. Another weekend, another chance. Up next are Barnet, another seemingly "winnable" game, but of course Notts need to take caution given their blip.
