Lewis Alessandra came on as a substitute and scored with his first touch of the game in the second half to edge the visitors ahead. Notts County ensured that their fans would begin the weekend on the sourest of notes as Yeovil Town ran out 4-0 winners at Meadow Lane on Friday. The Magpies thought they had taken the lead early on when Nathan Thomas turned in at the back post but he was adjudged to have been in an offside position.
