The Pride of Nottingham Launches Monthly Fan Appreciation Initiative

PON_News

The Pride of Nottingham (PON), an online community dedicated to Notts County fans, is thrilled to announce a new fan appreciation initiative aimed at giving back to our loyal supporters. Starting this season, PON will be awarding a free print every month to one of our fans who actively engages with our social media platforms.

This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to fostering a strong and interactive community. We recognise the passion and dedication of our followers, and we believe in celebrating their contributions by offering them something special in return. The process is simple: each month, our subscribers will vote on who they believe deserves a print. The winning fan will be someone who has shown outstanding enthusiasm and engagement across our social media pages.

"We are incredibly fortunate to have such a vibrant and supportive community," said True Magpie, Lead Content and Fan Engagement Admin of The Pride of Nottingham. "Our fans are the heartbeat of what we do, and this initiative is our way of saying thank you. We want to encourage even more interaction and create a space where our supporters feel valued and appreciated."

The prints will feature exclusive designs that capture the spirit of Notts County, making them a prized addition to any fan’s collection. Whether it’s through sharing our posts, commenting on our content, or engaging in discussions, every interaction counts, and every fan has a chance to be recognised.

At the end of each month, our subscribers will have the power to choose the winner, ensuring that the award goes to a deserving fan who has made a positive impact on the community. This democratic approach allows our community members to celebrate each other, further strengthening the bond among PON followers.

"We want our fans to know that their voices are heard and that their involvement is what makes PON special," added True Magpie. "This initiative is just the beginning of our efforts to give back to those who have supported us over the years."

Fans are encouraged to follow PON on all social media platforms and actively participate in the conversations. The first winner(s) will be announced ahead of the home game against Accrington Stanley on Saturday 7th September 2024, so be sure to engage and make your voice heard!

In addition, fans and members can get involved with supporting The Pride of Nottingham by signing up to one of our subscription packages. Chris has been kindly giving fans prints, often just to make someone’s day. I think there’s room to reward dedication and fans who are part of the community, so I’m speaking with him about ideas. This came up, and I think it’s going to be nice to see fans rewarded for being part of the community.

Notts has a vibrant fan base, with many good people representing the club. Our gaffer goes above and beyond.

This is a very good idea. It might not be for everyone, but no one needs to change their habits just for a print. It’s not for that reason; it’s to give back. I know this is something @Chris feels strongly about. It’s clear he cares about Notts and us fans, so I think it’s super cool that he’s gifting some of his work to fans. I hope those who end up winning appreciate it.

Allowing the subscribers to be the judges should help make sure that the right people are rewarded. I am pleased to see this. The artwork is incredible, such a talent there! I think fans will love the prints. A lot of effort must go into them, and if some fans get acknowledged for their support, then I think it’s a very kind gesture. I also agree with what @True Magpie said. Well done to him and @Chris.

I have done similar things in the past via social media, and just because I have seen fans take to a certain player. It's really no fuss, I like seeing the reaction and how it pleases people. A kind gesture can make somebodies day, seeing comments, interactions lifts mine, and I am pleased to have something to focus on. I'm sure the majority of fans will appreciate this, as I am delighted that our subscribers are happy to also be a part of them. Without these kind members, it would be difficult to rely on donations or sales from our store.

Thanks, mate. I do feel strongly about it. It might be something small, but once they are signed I do know fans cherish them.

I wanted the subscribers to have the say on this, as it shows their involvement and how important it is. Most of them don't want anything in return, which is very heart-warming. Yet, I want them to see how their support makes a difference and I think this idea will show the community spirit side of things. Thanks for the kind comment, Lewis.

Is it one or two prints? I’m curious how it will be decided and what steps fans need to know about their involvement being rewarded with one. The general concept sounds great! I’m just wondering how it will work further. I do praise the decision to gift to the community; it shows what it means.

@Joshua we have 6 subscribers as of now. The plan is to gift 4 prints across each platform: Facebook, Twitter (x.com), and Instagram. Instagram is very relaxed. Chris wants it to focus more on art, edits, and opinions rather than news.

Closer to the time, messages will be sent to potential winners for them to accept and let us know what they would like to say to the judges. If they don’t want a print, someone else who does will get one. Fans can still buy the prints if they really want one, so we’re not concerned about that.

It’s a very nice gesture that I hope people who win enjoy having the print. There’s not much in life that you can get for free, so respect for doing something community-focused.

This is a very kind gesture. Chris has given prints to a few fans near me before. I hope it’s appreciated, as we need to support PON.
