Notts County are not expected to offer Miles Addison a deal at Meadow Lane after he reportedly failed to show up for his trial.

According to local media, Addison was supposed to report to training last week alongside fellow trialist Jason Banton.

The former Derby County man, however, did not show up, and the reasons for the absence remain unclear.

Addison, who was recently let go by Peterborough United, has also been on trial at Southend United and Hamilton, but neither club has offered him a permanent deal.

Probably a gamble that one of the other clubs would have offered him a deal - swayed by his agent? Who knows...

Got to say, Β he would have been a fair way down on my wanted list.

If he is not good enough for Peterborough - who are inΒ league 1, where we want to be asap - I cannot see why he would do better for us. I don't seeΒ him being a long term player, if he was to sign.

If he cannot turn up for the trial / interview he is not committed to the cause, so I wouldn't want him. wonder if the job shop will stop his dole for not attending???
