its all very positive, its definitely coming along nicely. our home performances have been much better since the Lincoln City game. Luke Williams and the coaching staff are doing an amazing job, the players are also doing so well too. Everything that Williams says, we can see being put into the games or training. i am really enjoying the season so far.

I am sure the players understand that Luke Williams is doing everything to bring the best out of the squad, and so far it’s working. We have a forward-thinking manager who thinks beyond tactics, players, and the opposition. Williams puts a lot of effort into every area you can think of, and we are lucky to have such quality in the coaching team.

From securing October's Manager of the Month award, leading Notts to victorious ends, to his adept handling of player management, it all reveals his deep understanding of the game. Luke Williams is very detailed in his approach to coaching; he thinks a lot about protecting his players first and foremost. That’s a great thing, as some managers will insist more from players due to their position being on the line if success doesn’t come. I am sure this isn’t the case for Williams. Yet, he takes care of the injured players and acknowledges that it’s important to keep Cedwyn Scott’s injury quiet for now, which is a very respectful sign of that. His coaching and management style is impressive; he is the best manager Notts has truly had in decades.

Luke Williams is just a brilliant talker; whatever he says, it just makes me take note, and that’s a powerful thing for Notts. It’s good to see him speaking so openly as he always does. I am pleased with how we are doing; I thought we would get the performances where they needed to be, and this goes down to all the work involved: players, coaches and manager.

The group has grown and started showing their potential, much to the credit of Luke Williams and his team. It’s all positive stuff, which is very rare for Williams. His approach to interviews is quite laid back. You can tell at times when he doesn’t want to answer questions or hoped they wouldn’t come up, but he does answer them. He’s a knowledgeable manager, who is showing that even with his lack of experience, he’s striving to be a success with us.

Luke Williams does a good job balancing who starts. I think the call to play Sam Austin at Doncaster was a good one. It’s useful because some players don’t want to be squad players and try to force themselves into the starting 11 or even out of the club. So far, we have signed players who are all fully committed to Williams and Notts County. It’s really a superb feeling, knowing that this squad will push themselves that extra bit that gets results.
