I can't say I'm surprised at the losses - it must be so hard at the moment.  Let's hope it's a turning point.

It's only to be expected that the team has been hugely effected by the tragic circumstances regarding the death of Adam Johnson & colleague during a match. They've actually been very unlucky to lose a few matches by the odd goal & also they've had to play so many matches to play catch up

it strikes a bit of difference when football in turkey is suspended due to a referee being assaulted compared to this.

what happened to adam johnson is very saddening and will have caused much of the results that the panthers have experienced. i dont know if they carried on or not, i am not so much into hockey but i do think they should have been given time away if they have not. with this suggesting the amount of games it makes me believe that not enough time was given.

its very sad. :(

Yes, I suspect the form is mostly down to what unfortunately happened to Adam Johnson. I don't think a death such as that would be very easy to just continue with, as it happened live and was quite graphic.

I haven't watched the Panthers live yet, but I have always wanted to go watch them.

For those who would like to know more about the Nottingham Panthers and their history I will post an article about them that can be found on Wiki.

The Nottingham Panthers were formed at the end of WW2 in 1946

Their first franchise was between 1946 & 1960, they then went out of business for 20 years, however a new franchise began in 1980 to the present day.

The Panthers have been one of the best if not the best, supported Ice Hockey clubs in history.

The Panthers are also one of the most successful clubs with plenty of silverware, they have won 4 league titles, & are the only British team to win the European, Continental Cup.

The link to their Wiki is here.

Silly question - but is there promotion and relegation from the Elite League?  If so is it a drop into the abyss?

Sorry for not getting back to you.

There is no promotion or relegation from the Elite Ice Hockey League which is the highest league in the UK.
