The future is looking bleak for Eastwood Town, I really hope they can find some kind of settlement to this problem, I would hate for them to disappear.

£45,000. I know it's a cliche but most premiership footballers earn more than that in a single day, and yet here is a football club pottentially going bust over it. It's a massive shame, they've been on the verge for quite a while now sadly

It would be a shame, Eastwoods not far from here and they seem to have money issues like Hucknall did once upon a time.

If only a Nottinghamshire footballer could save them. :(

Why haven't the owners done something if the situation has been going on since 2011? Once again it's the fans who suffer.

They won't be playing games which will mean no income. No income means no chance of paying off their debts, so chances are they will fold. Very sad. Mr Rooney is currently earning nearly 7 times the amount the club could be wound up over

Let's make it sound even worse, WeymouthPIE's calculation is per week! That makes it 1/350 of Rooney's annual salary. What the hell is the FA allowing to happen in football?

I've watched the Badgers many times as my sister used to live there, it's all very sad but the club has been badly mis-managed off the field for many years now.

My worry is, what will happen to Coronation park now? Not long ago the town had 2 decent non-league clubs with Priory in the Central Mids, now nothing...

I think sadly the end is near. This is a real symptom of the modern game where the lower leagues mean nothing to the bigger clubs.

Real shame.

I don't really mind the bigger clubs not caring all that much, it's the FA aiding and abetting i abhor.
