Buddy Holly

This wont mean much to most members but it will to the older ones-55 years ago today and yes I cried.

I added the link for you, show now the videos embedded into the site. (To do this simple copy the link and paste into where you type when adding a reply)

I grew up around Bully Holly's music, Super Ram is a huge fan of is (I don't say was, it seems disrespectful to me). I used to be able to do an impersonation of Buddy Holly which used to make people laugh, I've learned to like his music and appreciate it. Lyrically, there's not much to his music but it's how he sings and brings the two together.

The video is quite touching, I can remember being told about the story of the song. Also, one night when Super refused to change channels it shown a documentary on the disaster and I didn't shut up asking questions.

You know this post as made me realize how much I miss things, especially what you take for granted. :)

I was 6 at the time so although I vaguely remember it but it didn't mean much at the time. It meant more to my elder brother who was a big fan, he's no longer with us but I remember him playing his records and as I grew older I came to appreciate them too.

I wasn't quite 12 and well into pop music.Music was far less accessible in those days but my uncle Stan(the Rams fan) would play me all kinds of music. If someone came on the radio that I liked he would find other material by that performer and play it for me.

Birthday was good. trust you are both keeping well.

Good to see your results improving but it is always a struggle to get to safety.

We're both fine thanks @medievalmickey.Just hope Notts continue to improve and Rams  can recapture the Nov/Dec form.Good luck with Swindon.
