After the game against Harrogate and the 3-0 Victory lets hope Notts don't do what they normally do and go and lose their next match. the only change I'd make from the Harrogate match, I'd play Jodi Jones from the start. Result 2-2 with Goals from Macca and AJ.

This match is a very important match for all those players who are wanting to have a chance of securing a place in the squad for next season. These players have just four games to impress.

The Notts side must play with passion, intensity and commitment, they must fight for every ball when out of possession and when they do have possession pass it quickly through the lines.

Walsall play lots of long balls and they are one of the teams that like going direct. The also like to get many crosses into the box from open play and dead ball situations, so Notts will need to be weary of this.

The key area will be our defence once again, cut out the mistakes, if in doubt kick it out or up field to Jatta.

Another key area will be our goalkeeper's distribution and the need to stop putting our defenders under pressure by poor passing.

I believe that Maynard now knows what is strongest side is and he should continue to play his best available team which includes Jatta and Ashby-Hammond. Hopefully Robertson will be fit to play again, so my team would be the same that faced Harrogate with Robertson replacing Bostock.

I'm hopeful for a good performance on Saturday, I would be happy with a draw, but hopeful of another win.

Walsall ran into an in form Doncaster Rovers and came off second best on Tuesday. Walsall are a decent side. They took their chances when they beat us at ML in December. It will be a tough game. A point would be a good result. There's no reason why we can't go there and win. Jatta has to start. He has been an excellent addition.

We've probably been better away from home (that Swindon game aside) overall since Luke Maynard came in. Walsall are pretty good at home though, they've only lost 3 times at the Bescott this season so a draw wouldn't be a bad result.

Think we're starting to see a bit more consistency in team selection too now, I watched the training the video the club put out and it looked like everyone that isn't a long term injury is pretty much fit now. Robertson would go straight back into the team for me over Bostock. Weirdly I still think we're more balanced with Chicken in the LWB role, because he can actually defend. I get leaving out Jodi is madness though, I just think with both Nemane and him as wingbacks we can be "got at" a lot easier...

@menzinho I agree that we do look more balanced with Chicksen at left wingback but then we look less dangerous because Jodi is such a good player going forward.

That's why I prefer Robertson over Bostock. Robertson is much more harder working than Bostock, and better defensively too. That's why we need Robertson in the side because he brings balance when Jodi plays

Chicksen could be a good option replacing Jodi halfway through the second half

Today's team,

Jodi comes in for Chicksen is the only change for Notts. Ashley-Hamnond keeps his place in goal.

What about this "goal of the season" from Aaron Nemane for our 2nd goal.

That’s a great win for Notts, fantastic for the travelling fans, wouldn’t it be great if we win our remaining matches?

Another great win for Notts. Three goals and another reasonable defensive performance when needed.

86 goals now scored in the season. Another win for Maynard

Notts are rocking again.

Well that was a Nice surprise, I  would have been Happy with a Draw but a 3-1 win certainly would have Helped Stuart Maynard's standing at Notts. On this kind of form the Magpies needn't Fear Stockport on Tuesday Evening. That match however  will Determine how much Notts have really improved, but will Stockport be bothered as they have already been Promoted to League 1? I think they will because they'll want to go up as Champions, so any positive Result will give Notts hope for a better season in 2024/2025. Back to Back Wins for Stuart Maynard will have tremendously  eased the pressure put on him by the Poor  Run Of Results Notts had at the Start of his tenure.

It is also interesting to note that players who have been playing poorly, have Suddenly woken up to the fact that maybe their Futures at Notts is on the Line and they are starting to play for the Shirt. But each should be judged on the season as a whole Not just these last few games. I am still in the There Needs To Be A Massive Shake Up At The Lane This Coming Off Season Camp, because if certain players are still  relied on by the Club then another season of struggle may be in line for Notts 2024/2025. Recruitment could be the Be All and End All this coming Summer. Because if it's as Poor Defensive wise as it as been for the Past Few Seasons then this could have, a Negative effect on the Magpies Progress for Promotion to League 1.

Great goal by Nemane. 3 points on the road is not to sniffed at. It's just a pity we are out of playoff contention. It wouldn't have taken a whole lot to be in contention but that ship has sailed....
