  • Robbie changed the title to Richard Brindley leaving Notts
Posted

@Robbie I did hear that at the Last Notts home match vs Colchester Brinds gave his Boots to a young Fan and was asked are you leaving Notts? His answer was Yes. He did play some decent games for the Magpies but I think he was a victim (perhaps the wrong word, but can't think of another) due to the Departure of Luke Williams Williams could lift Players make them Believe in themselves and give them Confidence to play above their Level. We all know Maynard's Man  Management skills are no where near those of LW, so along with his Coaching Skills Maynard needs to Up his Man Management  Skills as well. I don't think he's up to it and both he and Notts could suffer for it.

Brinds made 31 appearances for Notts in our National League record breaking season which ended with our promotion back to the Football League.

Brinds will always be remembered for helping Notts to get back where we belong.

We thank him for his service and wish him well for the future.

Good luck for the future Brinds and thank you for everything you brought to Notts, who will forget that low strike from outside the box.

Good player, Richard Brindley.

When we first signed him I was delighted, but it's never suited him being pushed into a centre back role. He's best on the ball, being able to open up the play and make runs into the middle of the pitch (useful out wide too). He did a remarkable job covering the position, it's unfortunate that we never saw him quite settle in the role. I think it's best for his playing career to seek first team opportunities. Best wishes to Brinds.
