John Bostock and Matt Palmer made a great partnership, but this season he just wasn't the same.

His attitude and desire were never the issue; some players simply find it difficult to adapt when their routine is disrupted. Palmer's injury, along with his own, had a profound impact on him. We require someone with his qualities, but who is more agile. I have always felt Scott Robertson and Matt Palmer would make a great duo - but a defensive minded DM would be excellent to bring in.

As @Chris has mention Bostock didn’t quite seem the same player after Matty was injured. I love his farewell message that’s real class, thanks for everything John and good luck wherever you career path takes you.

John was a massive player for Notts in our promotion year.

It is the measure of the man that he has so much respect from his colleagues.

He will always be welcome down at the Lane. Once a Magpie always a Magpie.
