Name Your Ultimate Notts Team From Notts Players Down The Years

We all have an idea of our favourite all time great Notts player that we have seen or heard of.

But what would be your ultimate Notts team if you could choose your best players either from the players you saw, or who you heard of and read about?

I'm sure we will have our favourites. There are so many to choose from, and we will all have our own ideas of which Notts  players to put in that team.

So I will allow eleven players and one substitute.

You can have any formation you like so long as the side is balanced. Good luck.

So here we go.

The players I've picked are possibly not all the best individual players available, but I've picked a team that I think would be successful.

In goal. Kasper Schmeichel

Right back. Charlie Palmer

Centre back. Dean Yates

Centre back. Brian Kilcline

Left back. Ray O'Brien

Midfield.  Don Masson

Midfield. Mark Draper

Midfield. Ruben Rodriguez

Left wing.Jodi Jones

Right Wing Ian McParland

Forward. Tony Hateley

Sub, Macaulay Langstaff.

The side would line up 4/3/3

This is tough but I’ve basically ended up with players I’ve loved watching over the years (but basically span the 80’s and 90’s) plus two players I would have loved to see. Oh, and I even managed to stick Ruben on the bench, which means our midfield’s aren’t too dissimilar @Robbie.

4-3-3 is the formation and it would score a shed full!!!

Raddy

Pedro

N Worthington

D Needham

(Craig) Short

Masson

Draper

Hunt

Sewell

Lawton

Johnson

Sub: Ruben

So @Robbie mate, you are happy for McParland to be always offside then!!!:rollonfloorlaughing:

I really like this team @Fozzy but really not sure if Hunt is really deserving of his place here. I would have Ruben swapping with Hunt

I know @Piethagoram, to be honest I was  going to put Phil Turner in there and then I was going to use Neil Bishop, but I plumped for Hunt because I quite liked him, but my eyes were still fairly young back then ????.

I will offer a non English slant on the best Notts 11

4-3-3 Formation

CB: Michael Johnson
CB: Shaun Murphy
LB: Ian Baraclough

CM: Gary Mills
CM: Phil Turner
CM: Neal Bishop

RW: Paul Heffernan
LW: Enzio Boldewijn
ST: Tony Hateley

I’ve tried to pick some players who aren’t the usual choices. I thought about their height, speed, and skills. This might not be the most logical or memorable group of players, but I believe they would win games if they were in their prime and playing for Notts County.

I really wanted to have three strikers, these are all players I have seen play for Notts.
