Wallaby spotting in Notts?

This has been going on since July. If it is a Wallaby, it seems to be surviving ok.

Question will be when it gets much colder or it becomes a harsh winter. Can it survive through the winter if it is not caught by then?

Oh and if you see Jack tell him to take his Wallaby back, along the Track. Then tie it down like the Kangaroo.

there are kangeroos on a scottish island if i remember right.

never knew wallabies were in the uk.

Kangaroos can be dangerous, but what about wallabies? They look harmless, but I’m curious if they can kick. I wonder how they got here. They were probably released by someone, but it seems strange.

Just looked on Google and they can be dangerous to humans if they feel threatened or fearful.

That's why I suppose they want to catch it if possible.

They are friendlier than kangaroos, but they can still deliver a powerful kick if they feel threatened. I hope they are all safely rounded up; it can't just be one.

Many, many years ago, before @william1984 and  @Chris came along myself and @GrannyPie did a lot of walking/rambling in my home county. We were aware of the wallaby situation but never encountered any.

I remember watching a nature show on TV, where they mentioned this. It wasn't David Attenborough who was narrating it, but someone else. I think this is where, I could have gone on a school trip when I was 16. Some of my year, went to a Scottish island to see them and do outside activities. I didn't like the idea of the time it took to travel, so I never showed interest.

The nature documentary almost made me regret the decision.
