Greatest comeback in football history?

Featured Replies

NAH. The Greatest Comeback in Football was One Team was 5-0 Down at Half Time and Came Back To Win 7-6. It's in the Record Books. Unfortunately I Read That fact Awhile Ago, So I'm Unable To Recall The Teams. Just The Result.

I think that the first experience of a great comeback for me was when Everton played Sheffield Wednesday at the old Wembley in 1966.

Sheffield Wednesday took a 2:0 lead and hour into the game, but Everton came back and won 3:2 in normal time.

This was a great comeback by Portugal against North Korea in 1966.

Korea went into a 3:0 lead before Portugal replied with 5 goals to win 5:3.

Eusebio scoring 4.

How about Liverpool's Champions League win against Milan in 2005? 3-0 down and seemingly dead and buried at half time, only to come back and win it on penalties. That was an incredible comeback, especially considering it took place on arguably the biggest stage in world club football.
