    I wholeheartedly support this petition. If the Government can help fund one of the richest clubs in the World to build a new stadium, how about the government help fund smaller clubs down the football pyramid, that are on the brink of extinction?

    Of course the government would never do that. Clubs like Man U should finance their own improvements. NOT the taxpayer.

    Proud to be a supporter for 58 years & counting of the oldest professional football club in the World. COYP

    what about other clubs? i know there are local grants to help, i recall reading that with wrexham but just how much as the uk government spent on helping spurs, everton and the likes? manchester united should build it out of their owners money.

    i think its wrong to spend tax payers money on this type of stuff.
