Well they’ve got the man they wanted, I hope it works out for them and him, it’s a tough job but I have a feeling they’ll escape relegation.

I was annoyed when Paul Warne was sacked .Mostly due to the number of injuries he had to contend with during the disastrous losing run of games.I thought Matt Hamshaw would be a good choice after he took up the reins away against Norwich, with players returning from injury and new signings available, and could have won with a much improved display. My reasoning being that he was already at the club, knew the players and set up,and no compensation to a rival club would have to be paid. After the home match against Oxford I realised the job wasn't that easy. Derby were very poor and though Matt Hamshaw made all the subs I would expect there was still no improvement.Yes,I could give reasons for the poor display.Players perhaps not fully fit after injuries others coming inΒ  and needing time to gel. Whatever the reason Matt didn't have the answer.I wish John Eustace well and hope that he DOES have the answer.

I think this could be a very good appointment by Derby.

I hope that John Eustace can turn around the Derby fortunes & pull them away from the relegation area.

It will be tough with just 14 games to go, but I do wish himΒ  well. Derby are a top club who should be challenging for the PL.

does nobody think its weird that john eustace has left a team 5th in the championship for a team struggling at the bottom? i hope for derby and @super_ramΒ the decision works out but it does seem weird to me. if eustace is feeling like he has done all he can with them, and therefore sees derby as a challenge i would get it. i feel its good for derby, but questionable on eustaces side.

@liampieΒ John Eustace feels that he hasn't had the backing from the Blackburn board that he hoped for.Although the Blackburn board sanctioned 6 signings during the recent transfer window JohnΒ  Eustace feels their quality isn't up to the quality he was hoping for.He asked the board for an assurance as to his future which he didn't get.I must admit though that I was surprised with the turn of events.I wonder if a major financial backer is lurking in the background at Derby.
