Good morning I hope everyone is fit and well. It’s a dry start to the day but rain is threatened for this afternoon.

Today we’ve got to pick up our Christmas Tree from Argos, we’ve decided the one in the loft is too big, we are going away on 27th December so not worth putting the big one up so a small one from Argos will do.

Let us know what’s happening in your life.

It was a nice morning here too. We've both been busy today getting all the Xmas decorations out & placing them around the house.

We've finished the day by getting the tree up. It already has lights on it, but we will add to them and dress the tree tomorrow.

We bought a smaller tree last year, because our old tree used to reach to the ceiling & it was becoming a lot of work to dress.

We used to put lights on the trees in the garden but we stopped doing that a few years ago.

We had a walk this morning down to the cemetery to put wreaths on the graves of our son, my mum and dad and Mrs. T’s mum and dad plus her grandparents.

It was incredibly mild, we’d put our big coats on and woolly hats but ended up sweating on the climb back up the hill back home.

Watching the first episode of the Champions from 1968 on YouTube. Brings back memories. Pity they only did one series.

Just got back from a trip to France

Took in a game - Lorient V Lyon. I had no idea about the Ultras culture they have there, it's really something else.

Got to ween myself off wine and cheese now. I don't know how well the pint and burger will go down tonight :)

Good morning it’s Matchday, don’t judge me but I’m not attending tonight, I’ll watch the game on telly, the older I get the harder I find it to turn out on a winters night, I know our younger members will be thinking “armchair supporter” “part-time supporter” etc., but believe me I’ve done my stint watching Notts all over the country at awful places in awful weather, so as I say don’t judge me.

I hope the match doesn’t get called off and if you are going have a great time.

Totally understandable, you've really got to brace yourself for some winter matches in the worst conditions. It's kind of a bit dangerous...very easy to get sick.

We were nuts to attend Lorient v Lyon 2 nights ago - the whole Atlantic Ocean seemed to be descending on the stadium. Many of the Lyon fans were shirtless in an uncovered area and stayed that way all game, even after going 1 down and then with 10 men. I expect to be more comfortable tonight, if the game goes ahead.

Morning all, it’s Friday already, that week went quick. Today. Mrs. T is having her girly friends round for coffee so I’ll be at a loose end so I’ll try to find something to do, the car needs washing if it stays dry so I might do that.

Just as I say that it’s started raining, oh well. Looks like I might have to join the coffee morning.

Have a great day everyone.

I've been suffering with a 'bug' all week.It started Saturday (football didn't help).Feeling drained,no appetite and generally just wanted to sleep.I gradually felt better as the week progressed ,so much so that I managed to go to my local convenience store yesterday.Unfortunately I woke late this morning and I seem to have had a relapse.Coughing, sneezing and back to 'Can't be bothered' mode.Ah well ,better to be suffering now than actually at Christmas.Hope everyone else is ok.

Thanks @Piethagoram When I went for a check up at my surgery in October the doctor raised concerns that I could be prediabetic and booked me in for a visit to the Nephrology dept at the City hospital. @cheeky~k8 kindly accompanied me for my appointment at which the specialist saId he was surprised that I was referred to him as my tests were all good, but one of the graphs he showed me was a bit erratic ,though no cause for concern. He did however prescribe a course of a couple of items, one of which is Vitamin D.Thanks for your recommendation though.

Sorry to read you haven't been feeling well @super_ram Take care mate & keep warm.

There are lots of different bugs going around. My wife & I have had our flu jabs this year from the local pharmacy. I'm told it doesn't stop the flu completely but should reduce the unpleasantness.

Yes, feel better soon Super Ram...

But basically what the news is saying is true - there's an epidemic out there, maybe multiple, of flu-like illnesses. My eldest daughter came down hard straight after the Bristol Rovers game and is still dealing with the aftermath of it.

I took my flu jab early this year, and I was really annoyed to get a cold about 10 days after. But that was all it was, classic cold symptoms, never once had a fever or felt weak. I was then in the same car/rooms/spaces as my daughter and the friend who passed on the bug. I've been fine though, which I attribute to the jab.

I'm sure it'll be all gone by Xmas Super Ram and you'll be stronger for going thru it. It's the turkey that should start worrying.

No Rams game today so I will be watching Notts on laptop and hoping they help make me feel better. Thanks for all the good wishes.

Good morning, how are we all this morning, feeling pretty good no doubt given the result yesterday.

This is a picture taken from our bedroom window, what a sunrise.
